I don't think men could really do the job. There's the having to explain the erection thing. Unless you're Leo Buscalia.

I don’t think she finds the hugging sexually arousing. You should see some of the people she hugs.

My first boss (actually the owner) didn't claim to love it, but he
did say that you had to do it that well in order to get do the job
right (cleaning out the drain at the ice cream palor).

No I wasn't.
Someone I know went to her Ashram in India several years ago and had
just come back. One day Amma was walking outside with the students.
They came across one of the students shovelling out the sewer and
having to stand in it to do so, as his work study job. I think he
looked a bit put off by it, or said something, so Amma jumped in and
started scooping the sh!t (with her hands I think?), and saying
something along the lines of how everything, even such a job, is
enjoyable and bliss or some such thing.
The guy that told me this was impressed by it. It just reminded me
of some bosses who would do some part of your job for an hour or so,
and putting you down for not LOVING it because they loved it so
much for an hour. Whereas I had been doing the same thing for
days (physical ) and was not hired for that. I work for myself now.

I always thought that similar to how a tie is really a

like the hardened cock which (especially on the uncircumcized) on a man

The King as uniter (and separator) of Heaven (upper chakras:
heart/Buddhi, throat/Mahat-Atman, and head/Avyukta) and Earth (lower
chakras: navel/Manas, sex/Indriyas and base/Karmendriyas) is the
symbol of the Ahamkara or Ego, residing in the Solar Plexus ("bottom
of the heart," midway between heart/Buddhi and navel/Manas). As BushCo
is probably the prime modern example or symbol of the deranged or
addictive Ego, bound helplessly to Power and Concrete Mind (navel
center/Manas), Maharshi's Kings are perhaps intended as a compensatory
symbols, providing more positive examples or symbols of correct
balance between Power/Concrete mind (navel/Manas) and
Heart/Intuition :-)

2005-07-16 Thread Ingegerd
I think it is some Ego built in that Raja-thing. When a re-certified
TM-Teacher says that it is his largest desire to be a Raja, he looks
about the Raja-thing to be on the top of the TMO - the top on the
World. Power and control - real Maya. He is not humble. He did not
say - my largest desire is to give the knowledge to as many as
possible.
I have never met Amma - but I have ordered some products from her
organisation - and what I feel is that she is a real Guru with a big
Heart. When I learned TM (1962) - it was very much because my TM-
Teacher was radiating love and compassion. And that is what Amma do.
The world is full of intellectual discussions and analysis and
science. But I think that Amma fills a need for just simplicity and
love. I hope I will meet her some day.

that's why they're pouring money into the rennovation program at MUM:

from my memory bank:

He also said at books and buildings would perpetuate the movement.

And at a later time said, "what the US needs is a group of strong
bramacharyas."

When M started the movement, he said brahmacharis and buildings would
perpetuate it.

The TMO will not survive based on wealthy teachers or there friends.
It's too late for that. Look at the church. Then think about long term
survival of esoteric knowlege. Knowlege survives by knowers. Books and
buildings are only the surface.

How do you know the inner heart of teachers and wether they care or not?

[FairfieldLife] Re: Guru Purnima Invitation

2005-07-15 Thread Cliff
Haven't seen any collection of red lights in Fairfield outside of
the Christmas season, and I've never been to that area of New
Orleans, so I can't contrast Amsterdam with those. But I do
occasionally walk by the raunchy district of Hollywood as there
are a few good dance clubs in the area. My opinion:

Prostitution is legal in Amsterdam and thus is far more open
than in Hollywood. The tradition there is for women to rent
a room with a floor to ceiling picture window about 3-5 feet
wide in order to display themselves dressed in underwear.
The spaces are usually lit with blacklights, so their underwear
is often exceediingly well lit, bringing attention to the areas
of their bodies that experience tells them most men pay
attention to, and that many men will pay money to access.

It's actually less grubby, less dangerous, and less potentially
traumatic than in Hollywood. But it's WAY denser - some
blocks will have 40-50 women on 2 - 3 floors, and there will
be rowdy crowds of British/German/American 18-50 year-old
tourists, usually quite drunk, milling about on the alley/street
below making stupid comments or chattering excitedly about
the scene.

I guess it's the in-my-face part that bothers me. In Hollywood,
I can ignore the 2-3 people who may or may not be streetwalkers
as I proceed on my way, but in Amsterdam ignoring isn't
possible.

Yes.

If you can't walk into a strip club and see Devi everywhere, and can't
bow down to Devi in those forms, then these words of depression are a
sad reflection of something else I think. And as a spiritual exercise,
I recommend you take a trip to some good strip clubs.

I'm never depressed there no matter where
I'm coming from. In its way, it's a very
honest place. I wrote several of the stories
in Road Trip Mind while sitting in the bar at
Yab Yum, the most famous brothel in Amsterdam.
It's filled with gold buddhas and authentic
Asian art and lovely women who kinda adopted
me as their pet, comme Toulouse Lautrec. And
the stories themselves turned out full of light,
as far as I can tell.

But technically Yab Yum is not in the red light
district, so maybe I was picking up golden
light from the neighborhood it's in... :-)

It really depends on what you believe you

that some things are holier than others, and

Thank you, Cliff. Before I was "banned", many of the followers in the
TMO in Norway was my friends. I know them so well - and they are nice
people who really wants enlightenment. I hope that they will find

I am sure Unc will take due note and feign the proper level of disgust
when he ventures into the red zone. But coming straight from the

It's totally depressing, FMPOV. Much more interesting
are the "Smart Shops" around the city where all sorts
of interesting pizza toppings can be purchased. Serious
spiritual journeys can come from those, but I cannot
imagine anything other than depression resulting from
even a brief walk through the Red Light District.

And nothing has changed in 15 years?

I was in NY 15 years ago and Time Square was depressing.

And Bangalore 15 years ago sucked.

Would I need one? Damn, I'm busted before I start.
I would've showed up in a slick black Paris suit,
wearing my best Jerry Garcia tie.

Perhaps, or perhaps its a wise decision:

1) MMY is about to die in the next few years and he's trying to raise
the money to create the world plan facilities before he dies;

2) he's well aware of the sucession wars his own monastary went
through after his guru died, so he's trying to sort those loyal to
the organization from those how are not, BEFORE he dies, so that
there is an unequivical line of sucession and unmistakable stamp of
approval on whatever organization is formed just before he dies;

3) the TMO as it stands now is not a terribly viable organization --
by only endorsing wealthy TM teachers or TM teachers who know people
who are wealthy, he helps assure that the financial status of the
organization will be viable for far longer than it would if he relied
on a bunch of TM teachers who are already proving that they don't
care about the long-term viability of the organization.

I would, but my strap-on Yogic Flying butt pads
are at the cleaners. :-)

(Does anybody remember those strap-on butt pads?
Now *that* was one business idea I don't think
had any market other than Siddhas.)

Seriously, if I weren't heading the other direction,
I might just give it a try, just to see how they'd
handle me at the door. I left the TM movement before
there was such a thing as "dome badges." We didn't
have to show you no stnkin' badges back during
the short time I butt-bounced with the group in L.A.

So I suspect my sudden appearance at the door would
actually present a problem. I am a governor, actually
an executive governor, because I was also a TM teacher.
And at one point I was even a minor honcho in the TMO
in the U.S. But I'd be willing to bet that no one
would be able to find any piece of paper that proved
it. I know I don't have such a piece of paper.

But it's all moot anyway, because I'm about to head
down to a little medieval village in the Cevennes for
three weeks or so. Lookin' forward to it.

It actually would never even have *occurred* to me
to show up in Vlodrop until you mentioned it; I've

In all fairness, I am sure we have all experienced the transition
from Kali Y to Sat Y before, and in all fairness, I am sure we have
all lost the memory of how it came about last time, or the time
before that.

So, who among us can say that the conditions are not absolutely
perfect for such an event, in the next week or so?

And, yes, I realize the light-hearted cynicism with which many of us
treat the 'grand pronouncement of the day' from the TMO; learned,
earned behavior.

Cooks, it must be cooks, or if the plane has a southern entrance, or
it's vastu is wrong, or it hasn't been recertified, or the runway goes
south or something

I thought the arrogance came from the TMO in asking the ex-Teacher to
arrange a concert I think they, the TMO will be getting lots of
"no's" from now on. The last round of screw jobs was one of the
wierdest so far. Throwing away 15,000+ trained teachers is pretty damn
arrogant.

Actually, there's karma for you. And honesty.

It's about bloody time someone treated Maharishi to
his face the way he's treated people for decades.

He's insulated himself for 40 years behind a barrier
of idolizing blissninnies *so that* he never has to
deal with the repercussions of his actions, and the
impact of his own karma. When he dumps on somebody,
usually he excommunicates them so he never has to
see them again.

I think this Guru Purnimah Invitation deal is going
to be another sobering kick in the teeth for him.

The Rama guy I worked with for a long time tried the
same thing just before he died. Shortly after a long
period of dumping on all of his current students from
on high, saying that they were not worth his time to
deal with, he sent out a message to all of his former
students, everyone he'd ever worked with, saying, "Come
to a big meeting, free this time." Most of them, who had
seen this kind of classic "dump on them then embrace
them" abuse behavior for years, didn't bother to show
up. I'm betting that very few (other than those who've
already bought into the recert thang) will show up in
Vlodrop as well. The blissninnies in the TMO will
explain away the low numbers with "Oh, the late notice
meant that plane flights were too expensive for most
people."

But the truth will be that most people have had it
up to here with this stuff, and aren't buying it
any more. Literally. You *know* that this "gathering"
is going to turn into an extended guilt trip to "inspire"
more "donations."

What is an independent one that has been teaching full time all

I thought the press release said that recertified governors are now
called "directors" (of the A of E, presumably) to distinguish them from
ordinary governors (like 20-30 years ago when non-siddha TM teachers
were called governors while siddha teachers were called "executive
governors."
