Yes there are plenty of sci-fi films that are about conspiracies.
Outland is one in particular. But President's Analyst and Dr.
Strangelove are looked on more as political satire.

So if it is TOO sophisticated, it can't b sci-fi?

I surprised you say that, Bhairitu. Whereas the rest of humanity
would call Syriana a fictional conspiracy film, certainly you
would consider it a documentary.

I got through both but never got the medal I thought I deserved for
doing so.

Recommendation: if you trudged through both of those, you deserve to
read both Barbara Branden's and Nathaniel Branden's autobiographies of
their lives with Rand. Both present a combination of love and respect
for Rand and her philosoply along with salicious, delicious gossip
about her affair with Nathaniel (when he was about 24 and she was --
ugh! -- about 56).

John Holmes wasn't in Boogie Nights. Boogie Nights was
fictional.

Wonderland -- a really excellent film that did hardly any business
and is less well-known than the equally excellent Boogie Nights --
is a true story based upon an actual murder and drug dealing that
Holmes was involved in. Highly recommended if you haven't seen it.

Recommendation: if you trudged through both of those, you deserve to read both Barbara Branden's and Nathaniel Branden's autobiographies
of their lives with Rand. Both present a combination of love and respect for Rand and her philosoply along with salicious, delicious gossip about her affair with Nathaniel (when he was about 24 and she was -- ugh! -- about 56).I saw part of a film adaption of it. Kind of sad and creepy asI recall.I did like his "psychology of self-esteem" To subscribe, send a message to:[EMAIL PROTECTED]Or go to: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/FairfieldLife/and click 'Join This Group!' I don't know about Rand at 56, but I used to date a 60-year-old
when I was 40. And she
   was a babe.

BTW, her late husband was John Holmes' side-kick, as portrayed in
 Boogie Nights.

John Holmes wasn't in Boogie Nights. Boogie Nights was
 fictional.

Yes, based on the life and times of John Holmes. Dirk Diggler is a parody of
Johnny
Wadd, Holmes' most famous character. One of his fellow stars did go on to
become a
stage magician later in life though I dn't know if he was the sidekick in the
Johnny Wadd
stories as he was in the movie.

Wonderland -- a really excellent film that did hardly any business
and is less well-known than the equally excellent Boogie Nights --
is a true story based upon an actual murder and drug dealing that
Holmes was involved in. Highly recommended if you haven't seen it.

  He later
went on to become a famous stage magician where she met him and
 became his wife and
  beautiful assistant.

And yes, I did receive favorable reviews and comparisons by his

Yes there are plenty of sci-fi films that are about conspiracies.
Outland is one in particular. But President's Analyst and Dr.
Strangelove are looked on more as political satire.
