I am so sorry to hear that! We had a FIV+ cat that had a seizure from the build-up of toxins, and she cried...we rushed her to the emergency clinic - she was fine afterwards, never had another seizure - but it's frightening when you see it. My vet said that she didn't have any pain while she had the seizure and probably didn't even remember it. Seems that FIV is a much less serious disease than FeLV - my two boys are so healthy, but I'm sure that eventually, they will be sivck, too - that's why I am researching the hydrogen peroxide therapy for them and my 5 FIV+ boys. That's why our shelter is at our house; they are home with us...we get covered with cats taking turns on our laps, sometimes there are three or four. I found out yesterday that one of our healthy cats was acting strangely and was taken to the vet. He's a very tame and sweet cat, but when he gets to the vet, he's the incredible hulk! Last time, I couldn't hold him down with my whole body weight for the vet just to look into his mouth.
