Yup, just what I expected - although I haven't done the testing of 10

Am taking our 14 cats in tonight to be tested for FELV. This was
after we had Elsa put to sleep because of fluid in her lungs and
her testing positive.
Wish us luck. I don't know what to expect. I'd like to think no
one else will test positive, but I doubt that will be the case.
All the cats are around the same age (3-4 yrs). Different litters
though. Has a genetic factor to this disease ever been found?

RE: 14 cats going to be tested- Great News

2007-03-07 Thread Debbie

It really makes you wonder. I recall years ago I took my dog to a vet for itching. The vet took a skin scraping and came back saying it was ringroom. I didn't believe this because it looked nothing like that plus I was with the dog constantly and had no signs of it. I took my dog to another vet that I had known for a long time. He checked him over and all it was a nervous rash. No ring room. He was over it in a day or two. We had a cat years ago also that a vet wanted to remove his eye due to a cat fight. We refused. We put medicine in the eye daily. The eye healed perfectly.
