Thank you, Becca - they had their 7th day anniversary on Saturday, their eyes are almost open, but not yet. They all are doing well,, though mama Bella has been sneezing, so I am a bit worried. I rescued one of female kitties about 6 weeks ago at that time, she was ill so, I couldnt spay her and later found out that she was pregnant I had scheduled to spay her a couple of weeks ago, but then I couldnt go through for a couple of reasons so I decide to raise her babies with Bella. Not yet I dont want to freak out Bella so I am trying not to interfere with her and babies as much as possible. I am supposed to (according to a book) check on weight on babies every day so that I can make sure that every one is gaining weight consistently (which is a bit of challenge as all of her babies look the same light orange just like their mama).. Its a very difficult decision, isnt it I am guilty of ending many many small lives in the past as I trapped and spayed many many female kitties in the colonies and I feel very badly about them every time, I found out after the surgery, they were pregnant, I asked them to give fetus to me after the surgery, so I could bury them and again, I buried many. I cried and apologized to their mama each time, though its not enough to make up for what I did sometimes a life asks us to make a very difficult decision. I will certainly try I started asking around already. But its not as easy as I want it to be. When I start looking around, I encounter more people who are also looking for a home for their kittens and when I find a home for my kittens, I have a tendency to give that home to that person so that I won have to worry about them going to a pound which is often the case. I truly understand that. Here people often take kittens to a feed store so they can be barn cats (not a bad life at all if there is a caring human). But there are people who use kittens as bait in training fighting dogs or as food for snakes or whatever.. I wish you so much luck.
