I will have a 11 cats left. Eric calls the yellow tabby, Junior Junior. He
has some up with some strange names. He did name Junior after My fluffy who
passed away almost two years ago of Bone cancer. I miss him terribly. He was
my soul kitty, the second for me one so there could be another. I think
Pewter may be my next soul kitty. If she doesn't get mad about the Spay.

Thanks everyone.

RE: OT Thanksgiving

2007-11-26 Thread Rosenfeldt, Diane
I agree, they shouldn't have forced you, but at least the hoomins cared
enough to leave them with somebody they knew would do right by the
kittens. So many don't.

The people next door asked us if we wanted their white kitty, who we
knew from talking to her through the screen window all summer. It
killed me that we really couldn't take her -- failing old cat, others
taking huge chunks out of each other -- and I still worry about her. We
did warn the people to stay away from the local humane society with
the incredible kill rate -- it gets in the door, it's gone -- but we
can't be sure what they did. Sigh. It's easy enough to say can't save
them all but when you've been skritching their heads through a screen
all summer it's a little different.

Anyway, Sally, your foundlings are adorable.

HI all

I tried to see if anyone knew where thay came from. We are quite sure that
the yellow tabby is the brother to a yellow tabby that was droped off about
2 weeks ago. Maybe it was longer I lose track of time. The neighborhood
catsare usually yellow tabby, or calicos/torties. SOme strong genetics here.
We call then the Tiny Clan, because my Tiny and Junior were also from this
neighborhood. The are several male cats that roam. Also a grey and white
male hanging out here as my Pewter is trying to come into heat.

Junior is still on the Clindamycin his breath smells much better. He still
snorts and I am not real sure that it is related. I ordered some more
Lysine. I ran out and wanted to get capsules. I also ordered some weird
immune booster called Promune. I am not sure I will give to him. It looks
basically herbal in nature.

Hope everyone is alright.

I have thought of that. But some of the cats come from a nearby farm only
see then when the females are in heat. I wish I knew who left these two
because I do not have mama. There is a clinic in town where she can be
spayed for $35.00. They will do shots as well but do not insist because
there goal is no litters. It is called Prevent a Litter
Veterinary Hospital. That is where I have Pewter scheduled, but they are
booked two months on female cats. They do dogs as well.

The Vet who saved Juniors life when he was hit last year is hiring a Vet
assistant. I am going to apply, but money may becaome and issue. I need a
certain amount and at least health insurance. Wish me luck. They work on
employww pets for free plus cost of medicine.

visiting my mom. I just happened to go outside this was about 8:30pm and saw
the box(see picture). In this day and age I was a bit frightened and got

Wow Sally! What beautiful kittens! Are you going to keep them or find them
homes?

Sweet babies. They look like my Coco (tortie) and Winston (red tabby). They are
precious.
My TG gift was a stray cat in need ~ broken back, pelvis and femur. He's
resting comfortably after surgery on his leg.
His name is Rocco (pronounced with long os). He's a red tabby Maine Coon.

AW how sweet. I have a cat Lily who reminds me of a Maine Coone. She
probably doesn't have a drop of maine coon in her. She is beautiful. Her
nick name is Squeaky because she squeaks instead of meows.

Re: OT Thanksgiving

2007-11-24 Thread Sally Davis
Eric says we are keeping the Yellow Tabby. If the lady at work wants the
Tortie, I will give her that one. If not I may just keep both. I think 12
cats would be the most I have had. Before it was 11. Both kittens are
sneezing just what I need. the tabby managed to get in Junior's room while
we were gone yesterday. I don;t think he started sneezing until that night.
Of course two concerns. Junior is felv positive therefore I do not want the
kittens infected. The other concerns is that they may have a uri and I do
want junior to catch it. Just when I think things are getting settled here.
Pewter has her shots, the other cats are due for their boosters. Now two
more. Oh boy.

Have a great day.

oh my. I had Squeaky and Stripes before I had my current tribe. Squeaky was a
huge gray on gray tiger with peach belly and a tiny little squeaky voice. Their
prior human named them. I adopted them when they were 8 and 9 years old ~ she
married someone who had an allergic daughter. Sweet, grateful boys.
