He did have some temp today of 102.5 which isn't bad. He just
wouldn't eat or drink today so I thought it best to take him back. He
received 2 antibiotic injections and a dex injection. He also got
200cc of fluids...So maybe some of this will help. He still won't eat
so I gave him some transdermal appetite stimulant. They did a PCV and

Please keep Buster in your thoughts and prayers today... more blood work.. He is eating some now...grilled chicken liver and mashed potatoes..We even ordered his meds in liver flavor since he doesn't like pills, I had my vet call the compounding pharmacy and get it in liquid form...so they over nighted it to me and now maybe that will make it much easier to medicate him without all the stress.. I did get Buster to eat a few bites of roast beef and he did drink some more chicken broth...but I can only get about an ounce at a time in him..I try every 3 or 4 hrs..He
is still drinking, but very wobbly..I also tried some baby food graduate chicken stew with some added broth and he did drink some of that..I will try some sour cream and check out the liver shake, too...I am about to try to get him to eat a potato chip..I know that is nuts, but if he will eat it...it can't hurt at this point.. Did you try the liver shake? If he does not want it, put some on his lips--
that usually gets them eating it. The other thing my Simon ate when he would not
eat anything else was sour cream. He would lick gobs of it off my fingers.

Oh Kerry! Have you tried soft boiled egg yolk? Sometimes I can get a
cat that's not eating to eat that. The broth is a good idea, are you
making your own? When I make broth for someone who's not eating I
reduce it and reduce it until it becomes gelatinous when cooled. I
figure it's got more nutrients that way. You know better than most of
us that miraculous recoveries happen all the time. Hang in there, we're
with you and Buster. (I'm so glad he's drinking!). C'mon Buster!!!
How about slippery elm for nausea?

See if you can find something salty for him.
That seems to help Kitty.  Deli ham (I know, it is awful) is a
favorite.  If she gets a little down she feels better and often will eat
later.  You may need to rub it on the nose or put a piece in the mouth
(don't force it--just make sure he can taste it).

Good luck.  This is a hard

So sorry to hear about Buster… when
my Tucson had very low WBC, vet gave her a series of immuno-regulin
shots.  WBC came back up pretty quick.  Had to do it twice and both
times it worked…  Both times I knew something was up because she
didn’t eat—and eating is her very favorite thing to do!  I got
her to eat a little something by giving her anything she would swallow—ham,
tuna water, cottage cheese, a little milk…  not things I would
normally rely on as nourishment but at that point I just wanted to get
something in her.  Luckily, her lack of appetite only lasted a few days so
it was not a major problem..  Didn’t know whether you had considered
this…
