I've heard of this stuff, but I'm under orders not to upset Missy so she won't have a heart attack, so I get all her stuff professionally compounded - I don't even try to pill her, because she does get upset. I suppose I could take the fish mox in to be compounded, but I don't know if they'd do it. You can buy the liquid stuff online, apparently. I hide fish mox in meat baby food or tuna. Also, you can get human grade amoxicillan and clavamox in an unflavored powder and hide that in whatever she likes to eat too. It's pretty much the same as amoxi or clavamox, so whatever your vet has been prescribing. And the capules are 500 mg each so I just divvy it up. I usuay go for 125 mg daily but it depends on what the problem is and how severe. There is an acceptable dosage range, not just one specific dose engraved in stone. OK. What about babies that are too small to eat solid food? I get a lot of that. Last year I had 3 litters who were on between .02 and .04 of the liquid amoxi a day, depending on weight. RE: OT- Otomax without a prescription
First, avoid direct topical treatment with getamychin in it - if you google with side effects on the drug, you will find some scary stuff - I wish I never used it on Ghandi - as sometimes the damage is permanent - this is also common in humans from what I found out - Have you tried like clavomox orally first or baytrill orally (also watch out the amount on this drug as I have a cat who became blind from this drug) - and also not to use topical one - lots of times, it does not require topical drug to treat the ear infection. Also, have you flushed the ears already? If will help to clean the infections. _ From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Kelley Saveika Sent: Tuesday, February 20, 2007 8:07 AM To: felvtalk@felineleukemia.org Subject: Re: OT- Otomax without a prescription Hi Hideyo, Can you recommend something else that would clear bacterial infections in the ear?
