[Finale] Copyist

2015-02-03 Thread Vivian Adelberg Rudow
Hello finale list,

I am looking for a copyist who can work in Finale 2012 and would like to input
revisions for me.

I have an old orchestra and chorus score which I tried to revise but found it
too difficult.

I created Sibelius pages with the changes I wanted (it can also be in PDF) and
these changes now need to be put into Finale.

I'll need score and parts changed.

Looking forward to hearing from someone about experience, samples, fee and
time.

Best wishes from a very cold Baltimore.

[Finale] Repeat tool and Da Capo in FinMac 2012

2015-02-03 Thread Martin Banner
I have a two movement work. At the end of the first movement, there is a Da
Capo marking, with the repeat of the first movement happening before the second
movement begins. I used the Repeat tool successfully to place the Da Capo
marking in the last measure of the first movement, and upon playback, the music
correctly goes back to measure one and begins playing.

Now for my question…in the repeat of the Da Capo, how do I get the playback to
stop on beat 3 of measure 73 (there are 90 measures in the first movement),
rather than continuing to play to the very end of the movement (measure 90). In
addition, after the Da Capo repeat, I want the playback to continue on to the
second movement.

I’ve read the online manual, but I sure I’m missing something here. Thanks in
advance for any helpful hints or suggestions.

Is that as straight forward as it sounds?  I'll give it a try!  Thanks. GJB

Hi Gerald,

I recently started using expressions with hidden text to trigger pizz and
arco, and it even works with spacebar/click playback.  It's been very
helpful not waiting for HP to load each time I want to hear how a small
snippet of pizz or arco texture works in a score.
