Re: [Finale] OT: no early music in Wikipedia!
The German Wikipedia has most of them, one or two are missing. ___ Finale mailing list Finale@shsu.edu http://lists.shsu.edu/mailman/listinfo/finale

If you want more academic backslapping and a chunked-up c.v., then you avoid it. If you want the world's largest audience who might not have a clue about early music, then you work on a Wikipedia article. Anyway, all those composers are already covered. Must've been a glitch that Andrew couldn't reach them. (Wikipedia is my first stop for any subject, and if I really want more, then I go to sites with known reliability, or to Google books.) That's unusual, there's quite a bit of material on Telemann and Fasch. I added the Graupner article several years ago including lists of the symphonies and ouvertures. > Seems to me there's a lot of opportunity there for grad students, or even > undergrads, to get a quick publication credit. Many schools won't allow citations from Wikipedia in scholarly papers due to the lack of control over the accuracy of content. So getting something published there isn't exactly putting a feather in their cap from a scholarly point of view and listing it as a publication credit could actually work against someone on their c.v. -- David H.
