In my experience this is the sort of thing often solved with a restart of Finale. That's the first thing I would do. I'm reinstalling Finale on my desktop now, with fingers crossed! Here is where it got even bizarrer - Before uninstalling/reinstalling on my desktop, I tried to copy text into Finale on my laptop, and IT DOESN"T WORK EITHER!!! I have reinstalled twice, and text still won't copy in. AND, I now don't have playback! I changed which drive I installed everything too, so I think I need to change paths for aria, etc., but can't find where. Any advice??? It only works for me on cntrl/V (using cntrl/C to select the text). The other one, which doesn't work in Finale for me is cntrl/insert to select then shift/insert to insert.
