Someone apparently moved over a development version of gaim that was in
kconger's gnome 2.4 tree without fixing the dependencies.
Seems much more likely that it was moved to stable without the
dependencies being there.

If you enable the unstable tree in your fink.conf for this build, it
will work.

We'll get to work on getting the dependencies moved or the stable
version changed.

Thanks,
Peter

Er, never mind, I read "2.2.3" not "2.2.1", 2.2.1 has been in the tree
for some time, it should be there...

We put a lot of thought into our defaults. We like them. If we
didn't, we would have made something else be the default. So keep
your cotton-pickin' hands off our defaults. Don't touch. Consider
them mandatory. "Mandatory defaults" has a nice ring to it.

We're in the middle of getting Gnome 2.4 ready and at one point an
updated gaim was in the experimental tree along with it.

Looks like the deps should be downgraded for it to work in unstable.

Is this bug really a feature, Mister Reed?

Does it mean what I believe it means?

How could Max Horn compile his gaim package with glib2-dev-2.2.1 if
it's not even available on fink yet?
