Re: [Fink-devel] tcltk 8.4.15
Martin, Actually it appears that this error with using corefoundation only occurs under Leopard. The same tcltk packaging without the -disable-corefoundation option runs pymol-py fine under Tiger. However this still raises the question of why do we want to use corefoundation (aka a frameworks build) for tcltk when run under MacOS X under X11? Are you sure about binary compatibility? After all, the present libt{cl,k}.dylib are linked with CoreFoundation, and tclConfig.sh has # Additional libraries to use when linking Tcl. Re: [Fink-devel] tcltk 8.4.15
I figured out the problem. We need to pass --disable-corefoundation to configure for both tcl and tk in 8.4.15. The newer tcltk solved the problems in pymol-py where the pdb selector would load a pdb and the tcl/tk interface would become unresponsive. This doesn't occur with tcltk 8.4.15 installed. I have uploaded packaging for a new tcltk 8.4.15-1 package onto fink tracking. Jeff, can you push it into fink 10.4 unstable as tcltk 8.4.13 is pretty old.
