What about moving all of /usr/local out of the way? compress-raw-bzip2-pm5100 is somehow trying to use the wrong libbz2 on your system, and /usr/local is the most logical source for it. Having ANYTHING in /usr/local can cause all kinds of problems for fink packages because it's in the default compiler search path. Then I removed intltool40, which let me remove xml-parser-pm5100, which let me remove libwww-pm5100, which let me remove io-compress-zlib-pm5100. Then I started looking for other stuff with pm5100 in their names to install, and decided upon... oops, I can't remember which one I decided upon. I think it was io-compress-izma-pm5100. Anyway, I installed something with a name that started with io and ended with pm5100, I think, and then attempted to rebuild io-compress-pm5100. This time it was successful. Then I reinstalled intltool40, which picked up the rest of the packages I had uninstalled. Then I put /usr/local back until I need to update Fink again. I think moving /usr/local or maybe just /usr/local/lib actually did solve the problem and that some info that needed refreshing was refreshed as a result of uninstalling the other packages, something that I did'nt know how to do otherwise.
