Re: [Fink-users] (no subject)
Michael, Thanks a lot, that helped, I think I'm able to build usbmuxd. Steps I followed are, mkdir build cd build ccmake .. (here fixed USB_INCUDE_DIR) make sudo make install by the way make reported following, "configuring usbmuxd -vUNKNOWN also, user/local/lib/pkgconfig/libusbmuxd.pc says "Version: UNKNOWN" (I think this is the problem Hanspeter mentioned earlier in this thread) My guess is, if I try "fink install libimobiledevice" at this point, it will try to rebuild usbmuxd. Is there a workaround to fix this? Comparing console output between wxmaxima and xmaxima, I don't think wxmaxima even tries to start/connect to a server, despite what it claims in its error dialog. For xmaxima I get 31/07/2012 20:45:36 Firewall[60]wish8.5 is listening from 0.0.0.0:4008 proto=6 and "top" also shows an instance of sbcl, but there is clearly nothing similar running for wxmaxima. cheers, -- Viv Dr Viv Kendonhttp://quantum.leeds.ac.uk/~viv tel: +44 113 343 4864 Physics and Astronomy Quantum Information GroupUniversity of Leeds -- Live Security Virtual Conference Exclusive live event will cover all the ways today's security and threat landscape has changed and how IT managers can respond. Hi Alexander, Okay, after I moved graphviz.patch in the right place, now the installation almost finished. I looked around in /usr/X11R6/include and /sw/include, but didn't find this include that the source files complain about. Interestingly enough when I compiled ROOT by hand, it didn't miss this header. It had some other issues, but it didn't miss this particular header. :-P In any case, I think it would be safe to update the graphviz description files, as that package did manage to build without problems on my system. I'm > ready to try even if official build is not yet ready. THANKS A LOT. I started to look at the issues with usbmuxd and libimobiledevice. One point is that there are substantial patches in their repositories, which are not part of the latest source tarballs. I usually include that directly in the patchscript. However, they are larger and are better included as a patchfile. Actually, I was hoping that they release a new version soon, but this does not seem to be the case. i have to completely rework usbmuxd and libimobile. Sorry for the inconvenience. In case you want to try yourself, i found the interactive ccmake helpful in the struggle with cmake, where you have a list of the variables, which you can set. mkdir build cd build ccmake .. then toggle on the expert modus, which shows the complete list of variables. In case something goes wrong, simply delete the directory build and you can start from a clean setup. I hope to make some progress within this week.
