I beleive that means, where you see one, you will see the other. What one
does, the other also does. They chum around together all the time. You
won't see one without the other. This sort of thing.

Separation Anxiety - what to do

2004-04-29 Thread Momster18
This message is from: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Hello Fjord Friends-
This is my first training season with my horses at home. I'm very
excited and am looking forward to beginning working with my boys, Patrick and
Willie, this week! I have no indoor arena and my fields have been very wet and
soggy up until now. At last my field is finally dried out and I will have a
space
to work.

My question is: Does any one have a hint on how to help my younger gelding
from intense separation anxiety, should the problem exist. I'm hoping he will
just call over the fence and be fine, but right now the two boys are joined at
the hip. I have a third horse in with them. I rescued her last year so I
would have a babysitter Willie when I take Patrick out. I just want to be
ready and figure out the best methods.

Thanks!

I was hunting them up on the internet and found this informational site.
They are not a low cost saddle but look to be designed well for a broad
backed Fjord, and the versatility of the adjustable tree gives you room to
grow or not with the horse.

Looks interesting but out of my budget. It's a good thing I got my saddles
before kids or I wouldn't have the good stuff or probably the horses either.

Take a look,

There is an ad in our paper for a 17 Laser saddle with an adjustable tree
with key. Has anyone ever heard of or used this saddle? It sounds
 interesting.

--- Hi,

I have two registered fjords that I keep in San
Diego(Miramar Stables). One I trained from a yearling
and the other I am re-training as a 10 year old. I
work with a fabulous trainer here at Miramar Stables;
Sara Penney. My fjords are superior! They both drive
single, double, do 2nd level dressage, English,
Western Pleasure, HUS, bomb proof on trail, been
camping and in parades, jumping, etc. This trainer
has worked with my one fjord since she was a 2 year
old. She(the trainer) is incrediable and wonderful
with fjords. From my experience, I have had horses
for over 30 years and only fjords the last five years.
I would NEVER have anything but a fjord! They are
truely the most vesitile and gentle horse, yet
competitive enough to show and win. I also know
another trainer in the Poway area under Kandu
Riding/Janet Reed who has a strong dressage
foundation. Good Luck! Kery Ferguson in sunny San
Diego

A while back I was contacted by a young woman in my
 area, I believe it was
Escondido, California, who offered to train my
 yearling. I recall she was
expecting a baby (human type!) of her own around the
first of the year but I should
contact her in the spring. Well, I have lost that
 contact information and
was hoping one of you out there could help. I live
in Poway, CA, and am looking
for someone to start my PMU Fjord yearling in ground
 manners. Any thoughts?
