So CA Fjord owners
This message is from: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Just finished reading about the evaluation done recently in Fallbrook. I wish I would have known about it sooner as I would have gone if only to see more fjords! I would like to be in contact with other fjord owners-preferrably stallion owners- in the southern Cal area, specifically, San Diego county. Would there be any other upcoming events here locally? I have recently started training again with an absolutely amazing person, Sarah Pinney, and my mare, Fiona, (formerly Tyra) are making progress! I would gladly share more information about Sarah or Fiona if anyone is interested! Thanks for all the great info on this site.
Re: Eval Report-Vestlandshest USA
This message is from: [EMAIL PROTECTED] I want to take this opportunity also, to thank Phillip Odden and Sophie Fiedler and the others who helped make this evaluation and Fjord Show go as good as it did. It was a pleasure to meet people face to face who I otherwise have only "known" through this List and e-mails back and forth. It was great meeting all of you and again thank you all so very, very much for all your hard work and support. I also want to thank Hank and Bitten Nors who put so much work into this, as well as the rest of the members there. The horses did really good and it was very intersting to see the different types of Fjords all in one place. It was very interesting to be able to see Dagrun Aarsten's Fjord, Quinn, who is now owned by Jenny Barnes and shown to perfection by her. That was certainly a good match and Jenny really has done a great job with that horse, and she certainly used the tools that Dagrun put into that horse. He is a beautiful horse and a great show horse. How fun to see him in person after reading so much about him when Dagrun first got him. A big congratulations to Dagrun, Jenny and Quinn. (He has a different name now, but I have forgotten what it was.) Again, Phillip and Sophie, - it was great meeting you. Sincerely, Rondi Tyler. So. California.
Looking for Horse Bay Area
This message is from: "Gail Russell" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Hi all, A woman called me today wanting to purchase my Fjord mare that is currently being trained by the boyfriend of this woman's riding instructor. The riding instructor told her to consider getting a Fjord because all the Hafllingers she had been looking at were unable to canter. This woman and her young daughter want to trail and arena ride. I think she said she is an advanced beginner. The woman would like to ride western. I am not sure about the daughter. She has young children, so cannot travel far to look at a horse. If there is anyone who has a Fjord that they could bring to the Bay Area for a trial after she saw and approved pictures and video, it sounds like she would provide a good home (lots of trail riding in Nicasio and her instructor is a very human natural horsemanship type person...her boyfriend learned his skills from Tom Dorrance and Bryan Neubert) and can pay a reasonable price for a trained Fjord. She is not looking for a green horse that is unable to canter under saddle. Leela Standal's gelding Majson's B.. is for sale this weekend in Aptos. He might be a good horse for her, but there is already someone scheduled to look at him tomorrow morning. I expect he will sell quickly. Anyway..if anyone has suggestions, let me know. Gail Russell
