Question on clippers

2005-11-28 Thread Eileen

Anyone on the list give their Fjords a trace or full body clip? My
clippers, which have always worked fine on my Appys, just roll over and
play dead with the thick Fjord pelt. Anyone have a recommendation for
clippers that are built Fjord tough?

Yathose really big ones. I have a friend who body clips her fjord and
she uses that one..my "regular" sized clippers would not work. The big
clipper is spendy..Linda in WI

PNFPG newsletter

For those of you in the pacific northwest please note that I am working on
the newsletter Fjord News Northwest. Many members have responded to my plea
for articles and I have received a good number of articles to date. With the
holidays approaching I want to have it tied up and ready for the printer by
mid-Dec so if anyone has anything else to add, please do so NOW.
I am a tad short on ads. and could use a few more classified or business
card size. For $5 you can find a new home for horses, equipment, and horse
related items.Send me an attachment or just e-mail and we can talk about it.
This newsletter that Kathy and I are doing has had good responses from
members and we aim to have it reflect the membership and all that they do
with their fjords. 20 pages of news for the PNFPG membership and all that we
do out here in the wild west.
take care

Gifts for Christmas

Hello There.

Looking for gifts for Christmas.

Here are some suggestions.

For your Secret Santa, a copy of the Grooming or Versatility Video or DVD.
They make a great gift.

For the children in your life, neighborhood kids, your kids, your siblings'
kids, a NFHR Coloring Book. even if you have one from last year a new
coloring book will keep the children occupied during the holidays.

For your favorite breeder, a copy of the Record Book volume I and II.

For your Vet, a subscription to the Fjord Herald. Why not one for the
farrier, neighbor with AQHAs and the kid that loves horses but does not have
one.

Get your order into Mike May ASAP so that they can be shipped to you or to
your Secret Santa before Christmas.. If ordering one for a gift. tell Mike
about it so we be sure to enclose a note who the gift is from. :-)

to Kay Konove :
You say you want more FJORDS it seems,
  Now THAT can be arranged.
But fitting them all in a mail friendly box
Could end up pretty strange !
How about some hand crafted gift,
From my own studio, its true.
You will have to wait till its all done
And I fly it from here to you !

   ( your Secret Santa )

Email from Peg and Doug Knutsen: MVF Erlend's new home

(Posting this for Peg - Dagrun)

Hi all,

Knutsen Fjord Farm congratulates Susan Cargill of Longtheway Farm on
her purchase of our grey stallion, MVF Erlend. Susan has put together
a wonderful herd of mares, so he is eager to move there. At Susan's,
he will be steadily worked, and shown at the NFHR 25th Anniversary
Stallion Show. Erlend has not previously had the chance to stand at
stud in the Midwest. He will now be able to make an even bigger
contribution to the Fjord breed.

Susan will give Erlend a perfect home, We are very pleased. She has
made a difficult decision much easier. Thank you, Susan, we wish you
the best of luck together.
