Farm for sale

2007-06-17 Thread fjords
This message is from: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

Hello List,

I know in the past many of you were interested in the farm next door to our
farm that was for sale. Well, we have another farm less than 5 miles away
that is being offered for sale and I wanted to announce this. It is a 15
+/- acre farm in Days Creek. It is part of a divorce sale. If you go to our
website, we have a description and ho to contact the owners directly. Two
houses, barn, shop, sauna, laundry room, fenced and crossed fenced plus
more. Owners are asking $375.000. Days Creek is a small community of 500
+/- people with a charter school and a great FFA and 4H programs. This farm
lends itself for great riding and driving of horses. Owners are willing to
finance with the right people. Go to. www.hestehaven.com
and go to the Fjords for Sale section. this is
where the announcement is.

bringing your dog along when you visit a farm

2007-06-17 Thread Emily Wigley

bringing your dog along when you visit a farm
A great phrase I've heard over the years is "One doesn't bring a
horse to a dog show, so why bring your dog to a horse show?"
This is even more true and important when rephrased: "One doesn't
bring a horse to a dog kennel to view puppies, so why bring your dog
to meet a foal?"
We have a strict no dogs policy to keep things simple. The hardest
situation for me to deal with is students (and their parents) who
bring their dog to riding lessons, and say "we'll just leave him/her
in the car." No thank you. A cooped up, dangerously hot dog is not
something I want to condone or encourage. I send them to park
outside our farm gate, and remind them never to bring the dog again.
Harsh? Nope!
I love kids, dogs and horses. It's the adults and their choices in
animal handling and child rearing that get to me the most! :-)

Emily

Thanks to those sharing cart info

2007-06-17 Thread revivant
This message is from: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Hi list,

I just had to write and say a big THANKS to all those sharing your expertise on
cart information. I plan to buy a new cart soon and I have saved all your
emails - it is invaluable as we do your research. I am also finding out what is
wrong with my carts (bicycle tires on the training cart.)

Thanks again from,

Karen and almost 24 year old Sigrid (Sigi) who is very patiently putting up
with an amateur driver and Jani who is honeymooning with Kian (and hopefully PG)
