By now many of you will have received the survey from the NFHR Promotions
Committee--I am delighted to say that I have had two thoughtful, comprehensive
responses _all ready_ via e-mail. Please, if you haven't done so, take the
time to read through the survey and let us know your
thoughts/experience/suggestions. We do appreciate both your time and your
expertise. Again, if you don't feel like writing and email isn't your friend,
feel free to call me at 703 321 6545. We'd like to have all of your responses
in by April 30th so we can begin evaluating and developing a plan!

What a lovely girl, Paula! She is maturing nicely and certainly does have
Wynn's sport horse build. Loved the pictures, esp. with the blowsy forelock.

Good post Laurie - I'm driving/riding the original hybrid though -
his name is Colonel Klink, and he is my beloved mule (who now thinks
he MUST be a Fjord - because his mane is cut in the same arch).

Galiana

It was a beautiful day yesterday so I took some new pictures of Galiana - I
can't believe what a mature filly she is becoming
http://www.pbase.com/finnskeeper/galiana She's finally starting to look like
a horse! She towers over Frodo now and though I haven't sticked her I'm
guessing she's probably about 15 hands (Frodo is 14 hands). She turns three in
May so I've begun the process of getting her ready for backing - she has the
best mind and really takes everything in stride. Please ignore the bad haircut
- I just have no talent for fjord mane cutting. Frodo and Galiana are really
quite mortified every time I get the scissors out and hack up their manes :)
Having been able to see Galiana's sire OH Winn in person last fall at the Fjord
inspection I have to say she really is the spittin image of him!
