I have already purchased another ticket to attend in March. Each clinician has his or her techniques, I feel there is something useful in each clinic. I found Clinton Anderson helpful because he does horsemanship with games. Me personally, I am not into the game stuff. More than anything else I feel that Clinton helped to motivate me. Re: fjordhorse-digest V2006 #243
This message is from: [EMAIL PROTECTED] I agree with Beth. Having shown in the QH shows, the same procedures were used. While one event was in a covered arena another was outdoors. Even the covered arena was not like "The Coliseum" or indoor football. My Granddad used his Draft horses in Ohio, and they can get some brutal weather there. Family to feed, he got it done. I am hoping to attend the next big Fjord event. I might bring my Regn and just mosy around, watch all the happenings. Oh, I do want to comment on stress levels. Even the sweetest, gentlest human and equine can turn into Regan (from The Exorcist) during show season. I got yelled at plenty, but always had fun. Maybe we should concentrate on having a good time, rather than be being quite so competitive, I think our horses really would enjoy us and themselves more. That's my 2 cents. Re: Salt blocks
This message is from: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Salt blocks were originally meant for cattle. Cows tongues are much rougher than a horses. We put hang over buckets with ground salt up for ours. Fjords seem to think any thing in a bucket must be for them to snack on. Jo Wilgus Gavilan Hills, CA
