Hello List,
Last spring I helped an older woman in our area by taking the fjords
she was no longer able to care for due to her health. They are nine and ten
year old 1/2 brothers. Both are out of Anivil's Stjerne, a mare imported in
utero years ago by the Unraus. The ten year old is by Rusten and the nine
year
old is by Raintree's Lars. They are nice boys with fabulous dispositions,
easy to work with and willing. They went straight to trainers when I got them
as they had only been handled on the ground. They are now green broke to
ride, no problems or bad habits. They have been hauled a number of times now
and have handled it well. They are brown dun, almost a matched pair, 14.3
hands tall, and of medium-med drafty builds. They have nice wide chests and
nicely rounded hindquarters. They are healthy and sound and have been vetted
and wormed regularly. I plan on sending them off to driving training in the
late spring. If anyone is interested in them now, green broke to ride, please
contact me at [EMAIL PROTECTED] (mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]) .
I am offering them for $5500 both, including their new pairs harness w/
collar & hames and brass fittings if sold prior to driving training. This is
a
wonderful opportunity to add a pair of nice geldings to your herd who are ready
to go. With work in the spring and summer they could easily be shown in
the fall (according to trainer)! I promised this woman I would find them
homes
where they would be used and loved. They are priced below their value
because all I care about is placing them with the right folks. Hope all of
you
are enjoying the winter..we are being lulled into a false sense of early
spring..but I am not falling for it! More snow is on the way I am sure:)
Looking
forward to seeing many of you at the PNFPG spring meeting coming up soon.

ps. Folks who owe money for ads in the newsletter please send your checks
to me so we may be clear to place your ad in the next edition. Thanks, Kathy

Hi Pat,

I have been working with Lisa Ringers two Fjords (Alf and Fritha) over the
past five years, I'm their godmother. Lisa drove them as a team, I am
learning how to drive, but mostly I am an experienced rider, originally
saddle seat and now dressage. I am bereaved to say that this past
March Alf passed away, we are all extremely sad without him. On the up side
I have decided to buy a Fjord who would be stabled with Fitha at Lisa's
barn, which is beautiful. I am very interested in your geldings, how much
are you asking? And what is their height, I am looking for a tallish guy.
Lisa and I will be at Blue Earth.

Sincerely,

Lisa Havelin

I have two nine year old geldings for sale from Susan Crawfords, Sandy Fjord
Farm in Streator, Il

One is by Hotovy's "Anvil's Torbjorn" (recently deceased) and out of a Gene
Bauer mare, daughter of "Gjestarson". His name is SFF Axel and he is a very
good mover-seems to have allot of trust and willingness to learn. He is in
training with me now - and will be going to Blue Earth, if not sold by then.
He is priced at $3,800 - now.he's coming along nicely but will require
continued work.

The other: "Esten" is by "Engar" by "Gjestarson" out of a "King Harald"
daughter - total Gene Bauer bred. He is a big boy in frame - has real big
movement. He's pretty typical of what Gene was breeding for - the "presence"
of a carriage horse. He also is $3,800 until more time is on him then the
price reflects time spent.

Both have shown very good adaptability. So far I've just ground driven them,
getting a mouth and teaching manners, both are good students.

I have digital photos I can send - contact me for more information.

Hello again -

If anyone might be interested in two 10 year old nicely matched red dun
geldings, please e-mail me privately. We sold these geldings as three
year olds to a nice older couple. The man who bought them had many
health problems and wanted horses again. He hitched them EVERY day and
his wife told me his health improved greatly. He couldn't wait to get
to the barn every morning. Anyway these two guys were shown a little
and have given many rides and been driven a lot. Every time I saw them
they were in great condition and handled very quietly. Anyway, I
received a phone call and their owner is now VERY sick and not expected
to live much longer as he has major heart problems and every elderly.
He hasn't been able to drive them for the past couple years and wants
them sold so his wife will not have them to worry about.

Including mares in for breeding I am up to 22 Fjords and just do not
have the room to take them so if anyone is interested, please let me
know.

Hi there,

just wanted to put out some info. on two geldings (1/2 brothers) that are
for sale.

MF Tinngutten (Tinn) 3 year old brown dun gelding, 15.1hh. Tinn is out of
Fair Acres Heidi ( Anvil's Steinfinn - Elk Lake's Brita) and sired by Sven
II (Leif - Ljosa). He has Dragtind on his sire's side, Rudaren on his
dam's. Tinn has been handled well since birth, currently doing very well in
harness and teaming with his 1/2 brother MF Hovin. He was under saddle for
approx 3 weeks last fall. He is big, beautiful, friendly and willing. He
is my baby and it is with hesitation I let him go, but with Heidi needing
work I have not the suffecient time that he needs.

MF Hovin, coming 3 year old dark brown dun gelding, 14.2hh and growing.
Absolutely gorgeous guy, very easy to handle, currently in harness were he
is the "anker" of any team. You put his work clothes on and he knows what
to do. He is out of Ingrid I (Leik - Heidi II) and sired by Sven II as
well. He has Grabb and Dragtind in his lines. He is alot like his dam,
very sweet and gentle, yet very strong and athletic.

E.mail me privately on prices and more info. I will be out of town for 5
days end of week, but will get back with you soon as I get back!!

Both geldings are currently in the twin cities, but I will bring them home
within a month. There is a photo of Hovin on Betsy Bauers web site, but it
is not current, will get a new photo of both boys in harness on there asap.

Thanks.

PS. Catherine our prayers for you and your "guy"
