I am the chair for a retreat the deadline for registrations is tomorrow, I have had over 30 people call or email today to say their registrations will be late, the caterer will just love me. Olaf Nyby Carriage Driving Clinic in Canada (Ottawa Valley, Ont. May 19/20)
This message is from: Cheryl Beillard [EMAIL PROTECTED] This is a heads up for those of you who may be interested in signing up for lessons or to audit a clinic with Norwegian carriage driving instructor, Olaf Nyby, which I'm organizing for late May, at a location to be determined near Ottawa, Ontario. As it stands we have opted for two days of driving classes, 3 horses to a class, with auditors -- meaning there will be space for 12 horses only. Olaf says the training level is unimportant -- you can bring a novice as well as a seasoned horse .. we will group them accordingly. We are working out the program now, to include some demonstrations of technique, training by Olaf in addition to the practical. Olaf has experience with fjords, of course, as well as other breeds but our hope is to fill the session with fjords. There will also be an opportunity to schedule individual lessons, following the clinic, if there is sufficient interest. Olaf gave several clinics in New York state last year and is coming back for more. Susan Anderson has posted an article about last year's clinics, which are a testimonial to Olaf's skill and empathy with horses (and people too, it seems), can be found at www.carriagedriving.net.
