This message is from: "The Mercers" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Teresa, I bought a paperback dictionary that contained both Norwegian-English and English-Norwegian. It's been great in locating names and words. Goofy fjord names
This message is from: Mark and Lisa McGinley <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> I was talking to a friend about my upcoming trip to Montana to pick up our new fjord (Raintree's Katya) and he mentioned that we should meet up in Medora, North Dakota and do some riding as he had spent quite some time there years ago riding the Badlands. He stated that he'd love to be my "Fjord Escort"! This message is from: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Fun to hear that book mentioned ... my daughter and I love it - I actually read the entire zillion pages of it out loud to her. Now we are nearly done with the second in the trillogy! Sigrid Undset got the Nobel Prize for it in 1928. Some names: Naakve, Bjorgulf, Erland, Erling, Stig, Tore, Olav, Ulf, Haftor, Audun, Haakon, Nikulaus ... on and on. Some horse names from the book: Guldsveinen, Ringdrotten, Slongvanbauge .. and my personal favorite: Digerbein (Big Legs!) Just ask at your local library. Ann from Northern Minnesota where we slept out in a snow house last night just for fun (no horses allowed inside).

This message is from: barry <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> The convention in the Dutch registration system is to use the first letter of the name for each year, ie, foals of 98 start with T, next year's crop starts with U, etc. This is handy for determining the year bred. I'm not sure what they do when they get to X though. Barry Village Farm Nuevo, CA
