Drat...I can't find the event pictures.
I can find the Columbus Carriage Classic on the calendar as of June 6th, but
nothing on the events page.

 Hi All Again-

If you want to see a great picture go to www.dorganphoto.com click on

Events Online and then go to the Columbus Carriage Classic and then go
to the Friday event day - and THEN go to page 11.

You will see Michael Scott (remember Michael and his Betsy's great Miss
Naveta) navigating the bridge in the Town Country drive...he is

showing a grey Welsh X and she is literally flying over the bridge...it is

unreal - what a testament to a great team, driver and nerves of steel! ...

 you go Michael!

By the way...Michael then went on to take the Maiden Division
Championship with the airs above the ground mare.

You never know what these great equine friends of ours can do.as Red
Green says: we're all in this together.
 Great job Michael.

 Such FUN!

Hi Pat,

The post office tells me that you should receive the CD Friday. I'm so sorry
for the delay, but we couldn't find our copy and had to buy another.

Thanks,
Peg

Great Picture of Fjord Driving in COTH

Usually Pat Holland beats me on posting about articles in The Chronicle of
the Horse. Since I am an AOL user, I also don't get all my digests either. So
forgive me if this has been posted already.

The 5/12/06 edition of the Chronicle of the Horse has an article and picture
of Triangle E's Riata and her driver, 17 year old Cassie Welcker going through
the water obstacle at the Ram Tap CDE. She won the marathon with the lowest
score in the entire intermediate division. About 1/3 of the article is
devoted to Cassie and her 15 year old pony, a Norwegian Fjord dun mare

There is a great picture of a Fjord horse in snowshoes
on an item on Ebay - #1063948575. Only there for 3
1/2 days. Old stereograph, I think. I saw a pair of
those horse snow shoes at the museum in Norway 3
years ago (also saw Faksi that day, what a thrill).
You look at them and say, no horse would put up with
that and then you think of some of the things your
Fjords put up with and say, well, only a Fjord would
put up with them!
Re: the bit warmer. I have a hand warmer that is a
sack of sand or something that you can heat in the
microwave. I can take that out and wrap around a bit
if it were real cold, but mostly we suck it up and
hold that cold bit under a shirt for a while. I don't
appreciate it, hope the horses do!
