Weekend fun and Hearld

Hi,
My Hearld arrived while I was on holiday weekend with my girls. What
another nice job editors. And such a nice surprise to see the picture I
sent in of Heidi & Nona. Frankly, I had forgotten that I did it. Love
the new Hearld and keep up the good work. I took my two for 4 days of
camping in Solon Springs, WI area and they were so good, but what a job
getting it all packed and loaded by myself. I keep saying that I never
knew having this much fun was so much work. My pair, Heidi & Nona, did
me proud everyday. Not only are they probably the slimest Fjords in the
area, but they gave me no grief when hitched and working. They took us
all over the Bird Sanctuary and did some pretty steep hills without
batting an eye. I just love how they know when to pour on the power to
get up those hills and the thrill of cantering them is hard to
describe. I had them wide open on some nice flat and hard sandy roads
too. They come right back down to a trot when asked. One day they were
hitched and working for 4 hrs. giving rides and also just doing
standing practice for sometime. I many nice compliments from fellow
club members on how nice they are together and so calm. They are just
the breed for me to have.

WA I don't have mine yet and going out of town horse camping
for 4 days. Hope it is waiting on the counter when I get back. Wish me
luck getting two Fjords and a small wagonette and all the other items
all packed into my stock trailer. First time for this large of a load
and may need a large shoe horn.

The Herald is a Quarterly Reena. There is one in the mail on its way to
you right now. Some people have received theirs already but they do get
sent out bulk rate so they can take some time to get delivered. They are
sent from the Seattle area so the people on the East coast get them a bit
latter than the west coast.

for 4 years, I decided I would give up on the registries merging and switch
him to the NFHR..
