Re: Horses Looking Up
This message is from: Jean Gayle [EMAIL PROTECTED] Cynthia, I am also in the process of rereading Kristin Lavrensdatter altho my attention span falters a bit when I pick up the 1000 pages. Of course it is really three books in one. Jean Jean Gayle Aberdeen, WA [Authoress of The Colonel's Daughter Occupied Germany 1946 TO 1949 ] http://www.techline.com/~jgayle Barnes Noble Book Stores
Horses Looking Up
This message is from: Cynthia_Madden/OAA/UNO/[EMAIL PROTECTED] One place we boarded, and close to where I board now, is near an area that is popular with balloonists. The horses always enjoyed watching them fly over And then there is the day when one came over a rise that was at eye leve with the horse I was riding and then flew over us so low we could hear them yelling and the firing noise as they tried to lift up higher. That was really exciting according to my horse but I didn't enjoy it much! Kristin Lavrensdatter trilogy is one of my all time favorites. I first read it in high school (much later than 1928!) and then reread it several years ago (pre Fjord days) Cynthia Madden Omaha, Nebraska USA email: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Horses looking up...
This message is from: Sarah Vogeley [EMAIL PROTECTED] Interesting... Our three mares have a paddock that runs about 15 feet from our house and in the mornings (when it's warmer) my husband and I often lift up our bedroom window to say good morning to them. I have watched them instinctively look for the doors on the first level of our home, but after we chat with them for a bit, they realize where our voices are coming from and look up at us on the second floor. One of our mares looks up at us with a look as if she's saying, What the heck are you doing up there? Get down her and give me breakfast, NOW! _ Sarah Vogeley New Forest Farm Charlottesville, VA -- From: Anita Unrau [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: fjordhorse@angus.mystery.com Subject: Re: 13th Warrior Date: Tue, Jan 25, 2000, 9:17 AM People always told us that horses don't look up but I got some pics of them looking up to see what that horrible noise was.
