Re: two geldings for sale
This message is from: Lisa Havelin [EMAIL PROTECTED] Hi Pat, I have been working with Lisa Ringers two Fjords (Alf and Fritha) over the past five years, I'm their godmother. Lisa drove them as a team, I am learning how to drive, but mostly I am an experienced rider, originally saddle seat and now dressage. I am bereaved to say that this past March Alf passed away, we are all extremely sad without him. On the up side I have decided to buy a Fjord who would be stabled with Fitha at Lisa's barn, which is beautiful. I am very interested in your geldings, how much are you asking? And what is their height, I am looking for a tallish guy. Lisa and I will be at Blue Earth. Sincerely, Lisa Havelin From: Pat Holland [EMAIL PROTECTED] Reply-To: fjordhorse@angus.mystery.com Date: Thu, 27 May 2004 10:21:26 -0500 To: fjordhorse@angus.mystery.com Subject: Re: two geldings for sale This message is from: Pat Holland [EMAIL PROTECTED] I have two nine year old geldings for sale from Susan Crawfords, Sandy Fjord Farm in Streator, Il One is by Hotovy's Anvil's Torbjorn (recently deceased) and out of a Gene Bauer mare, daughter of Gjestarson. His name is SFF Axel and he is a very good mover-seems to have allot of trust and willingness to learn. He is in training with me now - and will be going to Blue Earth, if not sold by then. He is priced at $3,800 - now.he's coming along nicely but will require continued work. The other: Esten is by Engar by Gjestarson out of a King Harald daughter - total Gene Bauer bred. He is a big boy in frame - has real big movement. He's pretty typical of what Gene was breeding for - the presence of a carriage horse. He also is $3,800 until more time is on him then the price reflects time spent. Both have shown very good adaptability. So far I've just ground driven them, getting a mouth and teaching manners, both are good students. I have digital photos I can send - contact me for more information. This message is from: linda hickam [EMAIL PROTECTED] Hi Nancy..my husband would be interested in learning a bit more about these guys.{cost}...thanks...linda -- From: Nancy Hotovy [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: Fjord Horse Mailing List fjordhorse@angus.mystery.com Subject: Two geldings for sale Date: Sun, Jun 18, 2000, 11:22 PM This message is from: Nancy Hotovy [EMAIL PROTECTED] Hello again - If anyone might be interested in two 10 year old nicely matched red dun geldings, please e-mail me privately. We sold these geldings as three year olds to a nice older couple. The man who bought them had many health problems and wanted horses again. He hitched them EVERY day and his wife told me his health improved greatly. He couldn't wait to get to the barn every morning. Anyway these two guys were shown a little and have given many rides and been driven a lot. Every time I saw them they were in great condition and handled very quietly. Anyway, I received a phone call and their owner is now VERY sick and not expected to live much longer as he has major heart problems and every elderly. He hasn't been able to drive them for the past couple years and wants them sold so his wife will not have them to worry about. Including mares in for breeding I am up to 22 Fjords and just do not have the room to take them so if anyone is interested, please let me know. Nancy Hotovy The Upper Forty
