Oh ye, definitely MY kind of people!! We have
boxes in our attic from our move to this farm 20 years
ago that have never been touched - and probably won't
be until we move to the nursing home ;)!!

Give Katya a pat for me.

That's what I think but Lisa has other ideas! I figure that anything we have
had
in a box or not used in 3 years (unless it's tools or hardware of course) goes
to
the garage sale pile. I think that this might be a male perspective though.

Hi Jean,

Everyone has been telling us that we are nuts and that we will be working our
*&(@^'s off now. I answer by saying that hopefully I'll be working a little
less. This always brings a look of pity and sorrow 'cause they think I'm
nuts. All I can say in my own defense is that I have been self-employed for
close to twenty years with a job that was really three jobs in one that had me
working 60 to 70 hours a week and then I came home to take care of our place
with the 20 plus animals. It might take a year or so but I'm winding down my
involvement with the business I am in and look forward to "staying on the
farm". I'm holding on to one aspect of my past though and that's recording
the syndicated radio program at Big Top Chautauqua each summer. Too much fun
and a pretty gravy job! I might have a different perspective in a year or
two, but hey that's what a mid-life crisis is all about!

Hi Carol,

The new farm is in the same neck of the woods as our place now (Washburn) It's a
little town on Chequamegon Bay, Lake Superior. We will be about three miles out
of town up on the hill. I think Siren is about an hour and a half away?

I'm hoping to do some driving clinics next summer (at least one to test the
waters) so I'll keep in touch with all the fjord neighbors! Speaking of that
does anybody have recomendations for a driving clinician in the upper midwest?
We are also going to do riding clinics and training clinics if anyone is
interested.

Hi,
Boy! You sound as excited about your new place as I was when we found our
dream home in the Siren area. So tell me, exactly where is the new place
located? You sound like it may be in my back yard sort of. I sure would
like to pay a visit when you are all settled. I know what you mean about
packing up and moving after 16 years. We had to move 23 yr worth of stuff.
We also left a lot behind that a new couple with their first home could use.
