Joel, please ...

This is private stuff. I highly resented the tone of your last post.
It soured my morning coffee. And now this ... so soon after Merek.

Besides, the sole reason for a registry's existence is to keep record of
pure pedigrees. So if you buy an animal, no matter how lovely, that has
no papers you must go with the powers that be who are dedicated to the
preservation of the breed and your horse simply may not be registerable
- simple as that. It's kind of like umpires in a ball game. We have to
respect their decision. If they can't prove it's parentage, you have to
accept that. Fussing and fuming won't prove anything to them.

Your complaint could have been a good point for discussion. You could
have put your story out for all to hear - in a discussion not a
confrontation - and had several opinions, some of whom may have agreed
with you or been able to help. I myself am very interested in the old
American pedigrees that say things like 'a Purdy mare' etc. I would
love to hear that story.

Please note that this is a private post.

Gee Mike, It is nice you decided to ignore me this time since I wasn't
referring to you in my post. I seem to remember you telling one time that
you were not a board member.

Now, what about all the rest of the times you ignored
me? Very professional. Should we add the comment credited to you the
first time you were presented with my problem
or will you ignore that too?

I hate to pop anyone's bubble but there are more than 2 registries in
the US. Let's not forget the fjord horse Breeders of America. Let's not
lose sight of why there are 3 different registries in the US - people
taking their marbles going elsewhere. Let's not lose sight of the fact
that the NFHR was one of these upstart registries.
The NFA might have been first if business had been conducted in a
business like manner maybe it would have flourished.

By the way I contacted more than 1 board member about my difficulties
concerning registering my stallion. You know what - I never received any
written response from the board.

Oh as an aside this stallions get can be registered anywhere except 1 of
my mares has unknowns which no one can figure out so get from him her
will not be CFHA registered as they do not accept unknowns.

Cheers

Joel Harman
