Don't know if I can attend ANY of the above. I can possibly make it to Eugene, sans horses. We'll be on foal watch with our new mare. If my husband will stay home to keep an eye on her, I may be able to drive down. This weekend sounds wonderful, but we've hired contractors to (a) finish our arena (b) grade the area around the barn so we are on a "crown" instead of a depression and (c) demolish the north end of our "goat barn". It was a beautiful little barn at one time, then the people who owned this place for 34 years made some bizarre additions. I've been scraping and scrubbing goat refuse from the main barn, and the additions on the south and the west, but the north end is beyond redemption. We want to use this as feed storage, and for shavings. Hopefully things will be settled by September so maybe we can go to Libby. I'm very very willing to volunteer time and energy to promote Fjords. Juniper has already won converts when we boarded her at my trainer's barn before we bought our little 5 acre spread. Since I'm involved in special needs riding, I hope to introduce Juniper around to the therapists and special needs instructors to show them the perfect breed for our kids who need a little extra help and TLC. So, although this year is somewhat of a wash for me, next year I anticipate being out there, who knows, maybe I'll bring Juniper to Libby in '99 with a lovely weanling baby! Pamela

Glad to hear you'll be a membersince you're in Oregon why not attend the evaluation on the 18,19th of this month at Eugene...quite a few of us will be there...The PNFPG was started by 5 Canadian Fjord Families about 12 years ago right here in the Okanagan Valley of B.C. We worked real hard to promote the breed and invite as many Pacific Northwest Fjord owners to join us. The group has grown by leaps and bounds and has developed the Libby show into a fine showcase for our breed. It is also represented at many local Fairs and Events This weekend (11th) members are organizing the western Wa. This message is from: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Hello - I have been lurking for a while, enjoying the fjord conversations! My name is Ann Sigford, and I hang out with those great fjord horse folks, Ron and Kit Davis, of Culver Minnesota. That is about 3 hours north of Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN. They own Valea's Lee, my favorite fjord stallion, and also the stallions Kaspar and Samtakk. I bought one of Lee's gelded colts, Draugen, and will bring him as a totally green 2 year old to Blue Earth for a halter class. (I'm totally green too, so we are a perfect match.) So I look forward to meeting you others later in July! I won't get there until Tuesday morning, but Ron, Kit, Samtakk and some of their other Rokida fjords will be there on Saturday afternoon. See you! Ann

This message is from: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Good morning list! Hope everybody had a safe holiday weekend, and things can get into the full summer swing! Bernadine, the name tags sound like a super idea, just hope nobody thinks that we are officials and ask alot of directions Oh well, we can direct them to the midwest club booth. As far as hook-ups go, I have been told that there should be plenty, just not dumping capacity. Its on a first come first serve basis, as far as spots go. You might contact someone from the Midwest Fjord Club, to clarify. My " boys " are going to be 5 weeks on the road, camping and fishing, and are meeting me back in Mn. for the show, so they will be camping at the show grounds. I have a nice room, reserved across the street, as the thought of staying with 2 stinky/fishy boys does not appeal to me! I have the indoor pool over there also, so think that they will join ME! Anyone else for a swim? Hope to talk to some of you on Fjord Chat tonight, on PETSnVETS, 9:00 Eastern time... See you! Lisa P. PEDFJORDSPAV FJORDS
