This message is from: "Pat Holland" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> First of all I hope all of you who came to Blue Earth arrived back home safe and sound. Having the show and celebration over is bittersweet for me. I almost hated to see it end. I believe it was the best show we ever had and 99% of the comments were POSITIVE! With ANY event there are problems and we did have a few to contend with, such as ol' Mother Nature who showed us all who was really boss. Throwing in a storm Monday afternoon that took us all out of the arena for the reminder of the day. But within an hour we were organized and rallied. With the help of Nancy Hotovy, Sharon Falck and her handy computer and printer, Susie Sadlon, Chuck Kelly, Sara Waxman, Dawn Schlickman, Jessica Katzman, Bob Gudknecht and his sons draining the arena, my daughter Robin and I, we figured it out and went on. When the going gets tuff, the tuff gets going! THANK YOU to everyone who helped make an unexpected problem just a another bump in the road. Weather was a major factor with 90 degree plus temps on arrival Sunday then down in the 70's by Tuesday. If it had snowed on Wednesday, none of us would have been surprised. All of the classes were huge, halter classes with over 20, and draft, driving and riding classes in the high teens. Placing this year in any class meant allot. The competition was keen. If you have a ribbon or plate in your home right now from this show be proud. Final tally 141 horses, 122 exhibitors, and 687 entries. Driving home I was thinking what makes a show successful. Extensive facilities are nice, and I've shown at some of the best faculties in the United States. Q H Congress, National Western and Forth Worth Stock Shows, Washington and Harrisburg Nationals and Internationals.Devon and some of the oldest and largest shows on the east coast as well as 22 State Fair Grounds. I've shown where full fledged paid show managers ran the shows and circuits. The MWFHC Blue Earth Show is as unique and one of a kind. It is not the facilities that make a successful show - It is because of the PEOPLE whom attend that makes it so. This year especially proved the point. Where else can you go - where the total beginner showman feels welcome, where the accomplished horseman, whether he be from the ADS world, the hunter/jumper world, the top level draft world, the dressage world, youth exhibitors with equestrian educations, breeders with their prospects, gaming enthusiasts, the aged, the young, the scared, the bold, the individuals, the families, the wealthy, the average incomes, can all come together and find accomplishments, meet goals, laugh, volunteer, compete intensely, have a tennis ball fight, fill the back of a pick up truck with 17 people and go to dinner and then we all leave looking forward to coming back next year. In my entire show world experiences I have never felt more proud than what was presented and accomplished at this years Blue Earth show. Thank you ALL of you for making it happen.. With gratitude and respect Pat Holland
Re:Blue Earth Show Packet
This message is from: "Pat Holland" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> The 2005 Blue Earth Show Packet went out in the mail today. For MWFHC members the election ballots were included. If you have a family membership please make a copy of the ballot as I only put one in each packet. You can return the ballots to me and I will forward them to the appropriate committee. Those of you whom contacted me privately for show packets, they went out today as well. Any questions about the contents of the packet please feel free to contact me. Thank you Pat Holland MWFHC Show Chairman

This message is from: "Warren Stockwell" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> boy, that would be me. i was so nervous the first class i was in, i am surprized oz didn't fly off the ground. but he was SO solid, and i am so proud of him. nothing shook him up, and he was calm and quiet all weekend, except of course for yelling at the mare in the adjoining stall LOL Lorie, LOL is what it's all about!! I to was terrified at our first show than I realized that the Fjord folks are just fun and games. Actually I think this is just for fun and games I don't see anyone being to serious. Much more fun than the Class "A" shows that I have gone to in the past. Truly a grander ( if that's a word ) class of people! welcome to a class of folks all their own ; - )) Roberta New Prague MN
