(knee slappin') I guess I misread that one completely. But the answer is
no. I just told the welder I wanted the top about yay big (I think it's 22
inches across). And the bottom should be a little bigger so it doesn't tip
if (when) he stands on the edge. I can take photos of it and measurements
if you want them.

I do have some plans I can scan for you from a trick training book I bought.
 Want those?

Just let me know.

K

Dr. Deb Bennett has a design for drums on her website Equine Studies
Institute. http://www.equinestudies.org/index.htmlI have it somewhere
on my computer also. You can get a large truck tire rim and cut a round
piece of 3/4plywood to fit the top, Another square piece for the bottom,
and bolt them on. Cover the whole thing with one of those huge rubber
tubs just the size to fit. etc. I will try to find the plans and send
them to you. Also a very large stump, or a chunk of a very large tree
trunk , etc. Just so it is stable and won't tip, etc.

Jean in Fairbanks, Alaska, partly cloudy, rain later, 22 hours daylight.

Thanks Karen,

Dink performed his repertoire of tricks for us at our Fjord Fun Day last
fall. He's a real cutie. Someone should buy him and bring him to Winona
to be part of the Circus act in the Evening of Dancing Fjord Horses!

Red Dun Gelding for Sale in Parker, Colorado

2006-06-29 Thread Karen Keith

Hello List:

I just wanted to let folks know I am moving overseas and am selling my 8
year old red dun gelding. He is 14 hands and of a lighter build -- maybe
900 lbs on the tape if he took a deep breath. He is registered with FBA
(Fjordhorse Breeders of America). He is Yule FBA-1171, foaled 10/6/97.
His breeder is Leonard Rice, H Bar C, Inc. of Baker, Nevada. His sire is
Nils and dam is Seria. He is a grandson of Grabb on his sire's side.

I have put a photo album up on webshots.com.

http://community.webshots.com/user/luvmypony

(If you have any trouble with the link above, you can just go to
webshots.com and put in my member name luvmypony. That will take you to
Dink's album.

Although he came to me as Yule, I have called him Fair Dinkum, or Dink for
short. He is clicker trained to do several tricks and loves the whole
clicking game.

Dink would like a new owner/friend who will continue his clicker training.
When he came to me, he wasn't keen on people, but now he thinks people are
very good company. I attribute this to the communication through clicking.

Dink has been my favorite of my small herd, and I will miss him terribly.
But it's time to find him a new home as I will be leaving for England in
August.

Dink is broke to ride, but needs lots of wet saddle blankets. For the past
five years he's mostly been my clicker training trick horse, while I drove
my Fjord mare (recently sold to Linda Taylor in California). He's
participated in two or three Fjord Fun Days at Starfire Farm. He even
performed his tricks there.

Have a look at his webshots album. There's 60 pictures of him doing just
about everything he knows. He would make someone a lovely friend and a
great little trick Fjord to take to Libby in the fall! And his lovely red
dun color really stands out in a crowd of brown duns.

Let me know if you're interested or need more details.

Cheers!

Karen Keith

Dink has the brown spots on the cheeks, as does my gelding, Gunthar.

Do you have plans for his stool?
