Reminds me of an American TV interviewer, interviewing a Olympic swimmer
from Russia, the year the Dream Team was in the Olympics. The interviewer
asked the favored Russian Swimmer who their favorite athelete was. Thinking
they would get a reply like Michael Jordan or Larry Bird or something. The
swimmer said Me. In other words,, the Russian swimmer could care less about
American Sports and American Hero's.

Maybe someone in Russia would think Siberia is the End of the earth. A
missionary once found in China, scribed on a rock, the quotation "The End of
the Earth", which is prophetic to some extent.

Of course Americans think they are the only important ones on earth, thus,,,
maybe I, live at the end of the earth. Every place else on earth leads
toward my house. No matter where I want to go I must leave from my house,
and whoever wants to visit me, always has to come my way, no matter where
they live on earth. Or maybe I'm at the beginning of the earth. I'll have
to ask a kid about that one.

Mark

First, let me take sincere offense to those of you who "think" you live at
the
end of the earth. You don't, - we do! And, Ofjords, if you guys think
you have cold winters etc, come on over and visit any time!!

Janne,
You are right. Ever since we traded the inland lake place for this old farm
overlooking Lake Superior we have had two less weeks of winter on either
end of the season. It was just as cold inland as you have it, but at least
we have trees to slow the wind down considerably. Here, the big lake keeps
us a little warmer in Winter and a little cooler in Summer.

Time to get out the saddle and harness. Its a beautiful day.

Happy Fjording!

example, we celebrated Newyears eve this year by having an outdoor bonfire and
sledding party, - in balmy 23 below degrees. We had a blast until about 10:30
pm. B.

Back to the ticks, - seriously, get guinea hens, - we have JR's and they leave
them alone.

Too funny, Laurie...I still remember the first time Laurie visited me at my
farm. She thought she would never get here, thought it was in the middle of
nowhere and confirmed that I was NOT crazy for wishing I was back in MPLS :)

Oh ya..she also fell in love with fjords that day and has not been the same
since..YAHOO!!! Good ole' Sven...he has that way about him:)

Last week a family stopped by to visit.mom is my dog groomer. Her three
children + a friend were with. I brought my black and white spotted App out
for them to seeshe is a fjord in a "polka-dot outfit" but is tall.so, a
bit scarry for young kids. Then, I brought Sven in..OMG!!! They were all
over himeveryone wanted to brush him and they all sat on him. The two
older girls (early teens) were scared of Miss Dottie Lottie (app) but crawled
right up on Sven. Now they want to learn to ride - haha!! As you can imagine,
Sven did not bat an eye over all the attention!

OKday four waiting for goat babies to arrive.
