Re: neck collar/mane question
This message is from: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Carol, When we had Percherons years ago we used to keep their manes roached for neatness. We found that if they were used hard, like on a mower, that the collar rubbing on the hair stubble would cause sores. So, I would not advise clipping the mane under a collar; just hand split the hair as best you can so it isn't bunched where the collar lays. neck collar/mane question
This message is from: Carol J. Makosky [EMAIL PROTECTED] Hi, Does anyone, who uses a neck collar, trim the mane in the area it rests as you would do for the bridle path? Hers is all flopped over there from the collar now and I was just wondering if this was a good idea. -- Built Fjord Tough Carol M. On Golden Pond N. Wisconsin
