RE: [Flashcoders] Uncover the Flash Files

2007-06-11 Thread Frederic Caron
Hi,

Very good point guys, it's a shame we missed that one; we will add a scroll
this week.

Regarding the way we present the information, that was the whole point
mixing fancy design near "experimental" and keep accessibility to content.
Not that this site required that kind of design but some do, like brand
sites. So if you need that kind of experience, here we just demonstrate that
we don't need to penalize them on issues like SEO, bookmarks, etc.

Not that this information wasn't exist if you look for it theirs a lot info
about this (see links below); our goal was to unify the info in one single
place and start a debate on how we can make these better.

http://www.flashloaded.com/flashcomponents/fcmspro/
http://blog.deconcept.com/swfobject/
http://www.asual.com/swfaddress/
http://www.bobbyvandersluis.com/ufo/

Anyways that's why I post the link here, this site is certainly not perfect
but let's work together to enhances the features and the reputation of
"flash 99% bad" might change.

My two Canadian cents

I also missed content because of the window size. The Flash Times
link, for example, cannot be scrolled to if the window is to small.

Fonts are hard to read, no preloader, mystery meat navigation etc

Why don't you just offer the information in a usable and clear
fashion... no wonder there is a lot of anti-flash sentiment of this
is how we address the issues.

Hi,

cool site, nice to have all those 'misconceptions' and other helpful info
combined.

It does fall off the screen, (just as it would with a wrong css sheet).

keep it up

Hi,

Looks nice, except I only have a 1024 x 768 monitor - you are not
really establishing a good case for flash being used to create usable
sites because the bottom part of the page is cut off in my browser...
