[flexcoders] Printing swfs on Macs
Hi all, Does anyone know of any issues with printing swfs on Macs? We’ve got a swf on a page that needs to be printed, but it doesn’t appear when we print. After running some tests, it seems that swfs won’t print in Safari or Firefox on Mac, but they do print in IE on Mac. Anyone know if there’s a way to fix this? Thanks! Hey all, Thought you might be interested to know that there’s a new Flex app on the web: the new Yahoo! Maps Beta. Check it out: http://maps.yahoo.com/beta . It includes a number of innovative new features such as multi-point driving directions. Also check out the overview map in the top right (drag the little grey box to quickly navigate the map). Yahoo! also released a set of APIs so that you can develop your own mapping applications. Extending a custom component
Hello, I'm creating a scheduling system where users can drag events onto a weekly calendar and resize the events for how long they want to spend doing the activity. The events may be of many different types with different data/display needs, and so I'm creating a base clase, called scheduleItem, to handle drag-and-drop, resizing, tracking what time the event appears on the calendar, etc. I'm then extending that base class to display text and components specific to the type of event. (some may just have text, others may need combo boxes, etc.). The problem I have is that I can't add components to my base class (like the drag bar, resizer dot, or text for displaying the time) while at the same time allowing the extending classes to add additional components based on their needs. Does anyone have any suggestions for getting around this? Thanks for your help! Aaron
