Subject: [flexcoders] Form Submit on Enter Key problem in TabNavigator

Hi All,

I want to submit a form when a user presses the Enter key.
As I understand from the help that  I should use the defaultButton
property of the Form. It works well, unless I place my form inide a
TabNavigator.
Below is my very simple example/test/demo code.
Click inside the input field in the first form and hit Enter => Alert
Click inside the input field in the TabNavigator and hit Enter =>
nothing (clcik on the Submit button => Alert) (I am using Flex2B3)

main.mxml:
---
http://www.adobe.com/2006/mxml"
layout="absolute"  xmlns:ns1="*">

FormSubmitOnEnter.mxml:
---

http://www.adobe.com/2006/mxml" width="400"
height="300">

id="submitFormButton"/>

How should I solve this?
Thanks

Andi

RE: [flexcoders] Re: Beta 2 - RSS reader

2006-03-28 Thread Howard, Dave
Thank you for the response

After I sent this post I found the example in, of all things a "help"
file. God forbid a developer read a help file. No more posts from me
(after this one) until I get a clue. Sorry to waste everyone's time.

Hello Dave,

in Flex Builder docs there is an example that reads Matt Chotin's feed,
just search for "RSS" keyword in Builder help file, also you should try
open source library posted on labs:
http://labs.macromedia.com/wiki/index.php/ActionScript_3:resources:apis:
libraries#RSS_and_Atom_libraries
written especially for RSS/Atom feeds parsing,

hth,

Does
anyone know how search engines index a flex site?  Are there any tricks to

[flexcoders] Ad Rotator Snippet

2006-02-01 Thread Howard, Dave

Sorry..sending again with relevent subject
line

Apologize for a newbie question, but when using Flex 2,
does anyone have a code snippet that demonstrates how to cycle through..say 10
image files?  I would like to have some transition effects also, but in
essence I think I am looking to recreate an ad rotator type of
application.  I looked through the docs and nothing jumped out.  Any
help would be great.

Also, video...does anyone know if video other than .FLV can
be streamed to the flash player.  I have a .NET app that renders .mpeg4
(stored in SQL 2005) via a .NET application and would like to know if it is even
concievable to expose (via webservice) this data and render the video in Flex
app.

Thanks in advance

Pretty much the same way you would deploy the static
HTML portion of a regular app.

Create the HTML and .swf files in Flex Builder, then copy to the server webroot
using FTP, ANT, file copy, rcp etc.
