Michael, There is almost certainly a need to discuss the framework stuff and if there was a separate list I would be part of it. Right now I am still learning Flex (never really used 1.0 or 1.5) so would want to be part of that too. I suspect that many people would like to take part in both. Perhaps later would be a better time to split. In the meantime we can learn both aspects of the new paradigm. I think I have the same problem. The documetation seems to be for
an earlier version (Beta 2?). The xml is quite differnet in Beta 3.
I am hoping someone can send me their flex-enterprise-services.xml file.

7) yes, you should replace those by the ones I provided. Those have already cf-dataservice-rmtp , cfeventgateway, cf-pooling-amf and cf-amf enabled.
The web.xml is important since it configures all mappings for the messageBroker.
when you apply the cf-connectivity updater, it updates for the /flex2gateway/ but for for FDS you'll need other mappings.

I have a problem when calling a CFC from Flex 2 Beta 3. When I use : lt;mx:RemoteObject id=phoneService destination=ColdFusion result=event.call.resultHandler(event) fault=event.call.faultHandler(event) showBusyCursor=true source=com.mycompany.phones.service.PhoneService /gt; I get a message when the app starts saying that it cant find ColdFusion. It seems that the flex-enterprise-services.xml doesn't have the definition for ColdFusion in it. What should have been added? Can I add it manually? I got this error when saving an unmodifed version of the Cairngorm2 Phones example Application anyone know what it means? [flexcoders] Flex 2 problems
I am in the process of learning flex using the Beta installation. There seems to be a problem and I am not sure if its a bug or a bad installation. When I click on Run in Eclipse I get a new browser window which immediately crashes. If I go to the page directly it runs correctly. Anyone any idea what might be wrong? I am not doing anything exotic here just running the page with swf directly no web server involved. [flexcoders] Problem with Flex Samples Web services.
Hi,
I loaded the flex samples on JRUN4 on my home machine recently and
everything worked fine.
Today I followed exactly? the same procedure and loaded the Flex Samples on
a Server in my office and I get an error when executing most of the sample
applications. The error message says: Could not load WSDL: 404 Not Found.
I checked the xml files and noticed that the web services all point to
somthing like
wsdl{context.root}/services/CatalogWS?wsdl/wsdl
But I can't see any directory called services which could have the CatalogWS
in it. Is this a real directory or somthing else?
Anyone idea what went wrong here?
How are web services supported for these applications are them some jrun
files missing.
