Re: [flexcoders] Re: Snippets in Flex?

2007-10-16 Thread George
Thanks Jun, I've already installed.

I'm using FB3 beta 2 standalone. The Callisto Discovery Site update url
not work for this version, must use the default Europa Discovery Site to
update. Also, I found 'Select Required' make updates quite easy which I
didn't realize such an option before.

2007-10-16 Thread realeyes_jun
George,

Sorry to hear you're having issues. I will admit it's one of the
harder plugins to install.

Anyway:

- What version of Flex Builder you running?
- Standalone or Plugin version, and if plugin what version of Eclipse?

Also, you can try the following:

- Using the Flex Builder/Eclipse built-in plugin update manager - Help
Menu --> Software Updates --> Find and Install... - you'll either see
the Callisto Discovery Site or the Europa Discovery Site.

- Look for the Web and J2EE Development Grouping, expand it, and
select Web Standard Tools.

- At this point you'll most likely see a warning stating that some
dependency has not been met. Similar to the error messages you
provided. You can try the 'Select Required' button and if the error
goes away then you should be able to finish installing WST successfully.

Hope that helps!

Cool good point. However I'm kinda anal and don't really like that
class name. :) Btw, you rock Alex!

Usually, I just use the Flex Builder built Help Menu --> Software
Updates --> Find and Install...
What version of Flex Builder/Eclipse are you using? (WST will be
provided in the Web and J2EE developement grouping of either the
Callisto discovery site or the Europa discovery site)

If you still need more info, let me know and I'll see if I can muster up
some install instructions when I get a sec.

Yes, my bad, I did assume you knew the context. Anyway see comment
above.

I wish they could...or even the Snip Tree view of CFEclipse which by
chance works with AS files but not MXML files.

Thanks Jun. I read your post before but didn't get that installed

The eclipse is always hard task to update even such a single snippet to

It's horrible for us as we don't want to work on those plug-ins but have

I still think it's Adobe's job to make the life easier for us.
