As far as I know, it's not possible in the same page. You can't hijack
the user's browsing experience by removing the toolbar, status bar,
etc., without the user's permission (and thank god for that).

Maybe nobody responded since this was nota 
flex issue. Dont be depressed :-)

What you should try to do is try some _javascript_ in 
the HTML page that loads the SWF to do this.

To get started:

window.open(URL_of_the_MXML_FILE,window_handle,"toolbar=no,location=no,status=no,menubar=no,scrollbars=no");

The only way for to do it for IE is to have trusted 
activeX on the first page - then you can hide "parent" window by moving it 
outside of the display area - notaware about similar solution for other 
browsers.
