Re: [Flexradio] HF High Power Linear Amplifier
Bruce, I have a Alpha 87a here, which will give you full 1.5 kw output, fully autotune, and QSK. If wired up, will track the radio, but will retune itself within 1/2 a sec even if you don't wire it up.. Great amp, but pricey. I also have a SGC500 brick that will output a solid 500 watts (maybe a little more at times) @90 amps 12 volt. There again it can be wired up to track the SDR or it will also autoswitch bands with just a little RF.. Much cheaper than the Alpha, but you will have to add a 12 volt supply or large batteries. Both work with the SDR.. 73, Dudley WA5QPZ --Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] On Behalf Of KL7JDR Sent: Saturday, July 23, 2005 10:25 PM To: FlexRadio@flex-radio.biz Cc: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [Flexradio] HF High Power Linear Amplifer What would be a good high power hf linear amp to software control with the SDR-1000 ? I am thinking of the Icom PW-1 or something that is software controlled. Also , would like to software control the antenna switching with it. Any ideas would be appreciated very much. 73's , Bruce KL7JDR Bruce W. Mills P.O. Re: [Flexradio] Vers 1.4.3 Power Down Glitch
I have same kind of problems since the early versions of PowerSDR. In my case the system may hang already when starting the program. Usually the CPU loading goes up above 50% before I click STANDBY to ON. If at this phase I can use the Task Manager. If clicking ON, the CPU loading goes to 100% and Task Manager (or anything) does not respond. I have to make a hard reset. This happens almost daily and more frequently if running longer times or using other programs in the mean time. My configuration: Pentium 4 3.2 GHz, 1024 MB DDR, XP Pro SP2, Waveterminal 192X and Realtek AC97, Radeon 9550 256 MB, w/RFE, Waveterminal 192X ASIO, USB to Parallel converter. 73, Ahti OH2RZ - Original Message - From: Dale Richardson [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: Flex Radio FlexRadio@flex-radio.biz Sent: Thursday, July 28, 2005 6:41 AM Subject: [Flexradio] Vers 1.4.3 Power Down Glitch Sometimes when powering down the SDR the program hangs up. The power on light remains lit and the program freezes. I have to go to windows task manager to close the program. If I try to bring up the program again I get a window that says there are other PowerSDR instances running. I have to shut down the computer to clear this. This is not an isolated occurence as it has happened at least 5 times. The longer I run the program the more frequent it happens.
Re: [Flexradio] USB Parallel Driver??
The USB driver is available on our private download page. You should have received a piece of paper with your radio that gives directions on how to get to this site. Just in case, I'll send a private email with the details. [Flexradio] SDR-1000, Delta 44, HRD PSK31 insufficient audio
I have a problem getting sufficient audio for HRD's PSK31 to operate. I was listening to decent PSK31 signals on 20 meters, but the PSK31 waterfall display only showed black, with an occasional, faint blue line. I happened to press the 160m band button and I got blue noise across the waterfall. My 160m noise floor is -70 dBm with the preamp on High, on 80m the floor is -93 dBm and 20m is -120 dBm. I could hear good 20m PSK31 signals, but they just didn't show, even with the PSK31 squelch pulled down to zero. I looked around to add gain, but in PSK31, the sound card controls were already maxed / grayed out. Do I change the Delta 44 from a -10 dBV to a +4 dbu output and change the SDR-1000 to an unsupported sound card so I can change the output voltage? That doesn't sound like a good idea. When I measured my Delta 44, it was a few tenths of a Volt higher than the 0.99. Has anyone else had this problem with HRD PSK31?
