Re: [Flexradio] Rx Drops Out While Tuning.
Thanks all for your suggestions. The problem seems to be pretty much resolved as long as Spur Reduction is turned on. I don't have any extra PCI slots..this MB came with 2 PCI slots and 1 PCI Express slot..all three are filled with cards I need to have. And no, I'm not going to spend $80+ for an overpriced specialized USB to parallel adapter. :) All is good again. Re: [Flexradio] Applications/Programs
Takafumi, Make sure that you have the FireWire buffer set to the same size as the Audio tab buffer in setup.. Also by the DPC setting you gave, you should be running at least Safe Mode 1 in the Operational Mode..You might even try Safe Mode 2 or 3.. For some reason system resources (maybe another program, DPCs, bad driver) is causing the radio not to get serviced quick enough. You might even move the Program Priority (in the General => Options window) to Real-time,and check you CPU % usage on the front of the console.. Also make sure that you have disabled the 1394 network under Networks in Windows Device Manager.. Hope some of this helps, 73, Dudley WA5QPZ INOUE Takafumi wrote: Hello, I have a similar problem here with my Flex5k. The radio starts to sound choppy after 10 to 20 minutes with 96k sampling rate. Re: [Flexradio] Applications/Programs
This sounds like perhaps the driver buffer size wasn't matched to the Audio Buffer size in PowerSDR. This would cause some instability over time (especially after longer DPC events). Note that you can not set the driver buffer size below the recommended size in the newer driver unless you are in Normal mode (as opposed to one of the Safe Mode settings). Yes. Due to the major changes done this weekend to the web site, the FLEX-3000 Detailed Features web page did not get completed. Re: [Flexradio] offer for current flexers?
Gee whiz, John! That just isn't fair! With all of the discussion recently over the soft and firmware I haven't felt it wise to rock the boat by installing the rfio, RX2 and ATU---all sitting here awaiting action on my part. No, I don't expect any refunds! but maybe you could put a note on the list that you have which says that Lee is supposed to get one of the first transverters next year and maybe you could ship it for free and thus avoid sending me into deep depression! Re: [Flexradio] SDR 5K with NO Transmitter Output ??
The Henry 2 K will kill the switch transistor (relay) in the 5000 if you connect it directly to the Henry without a buffer relay. This happened to me twice! John P. Basilotto W5GI -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Larry W8ER Sent: Saturday, October 04, 2008 9:51 AM To: Flex Reflector Subject: [Flexradio] SDR 5K with NO Transmitter Output ?? Guys .. Recently, I acquired a Henry 2K Classic. Yesterday morning I was on 75 meters with it, everything being fine, and all of a sudden the 5K decided it wasn't going to play anymore. I did all of the troubleshooting, ie put the 5K into the dummy, restart the radio, restart the computer, change versions of the program, call Dudley and run the bias routine. It appears that the finals may have crapped out. I spent the day kicking the dog at every opportunity (not really) and shipped the unit back to it's birthplace. In the meantime, I dropped my Kenwood TS-870 into place, driving the Henry, and all seems well. Naturally I was hesitant to do that but after several hours of operation, all is fine. I have been racking my brain trying to figure out what might have happened. Questions like: maybe the Henry has some very slow relays for xmt/rcv switching. The Flex software has settings to allow for that but I am using the defaults. Is anybody else out there using similar amplifiers, Henry consoles, L4B's, SB220's and have you had problems?
