Re: [Flexradio] FlexRadio Digest, Vol 77, Issue 3

2011-09-04 Thread Mike

Hi Burt,

I totally agree with you!
I really like using my F3K in the shack, with PSDR v2.2.2 it's a superb
CW rig (shame there is no full break-in CW though)
however my little FT817, LDG QRP ATU and a piece of wire have given me
more pleasure than any other radio I have ever owned!

Living near the coast I have access to the beach whenever I want, there
is always a constant breeze which makes lifting a large antenna
with a kite extremely easy. Even with the FT817 running at half power to
save batteries I have worked the world!!!

Taking my FT817 with me on motorcycling/camping trips is a breeze, it
all goes into one pannier with ease and always puts a smile

on my face when being used.

Life is too short not to QRP!

Mike.

I used to think that life was too short for QRP until I took an FT817 down to
the beach and got better DX than at home. I later bought a Flex 1500, could not
believe there was so much in a little package although when I bought it a year
ago I had a lot of problems setting it up, now adddressed by updates.

[Flexradio] Flex-5000A TX1, TX2, TX3

2011-09-04 Thread Kevin Hobbs
Hi

Looking for some further explanation of TX1, TX2, TX3. The manual could
still use a little help or a good example.

I want to use TX1 and TX2 as a sequencer. I want TX1 to control
transmit/receive relays, TX2 to control 8877 amp.

I think:

TX1 delay 250

TX2 delay 150

Will cause:

TX1 to switch 250ms before the Flex actually transmits

TX2 to switch 150ms before the Flex actually transmits

Resulting in:

T/R relay to switch, followed by amp to key 100mS later, followed by Flex to
transmit another 150mS later.

Is this correct (or backwards)?

And, every time restart PowerSDR it seems to untick my TX3 setting for 6m
and leaves only TX1 ticked?
Does it not like using 2 TX ports on 1 band?

[Flexradio] FXpad: new release

2011-09-04 Thread Giuseppe Campana

Hi,

New FXpad 1.03 release is available for download on:
http://www.woodboxradio.com/uk/FXpad.html

On this release:

FXpad is no longer dependent on Tmate

This version of FXpad work with or without Tmate connected to your
PC, so that all users
can use PowerSDR and FXpad, even with the new tuning knob
"FlexControl" or without it.

FlexControl is not supported directly by FXpad but only by PowerSDR.
If you have FlexControl and Tmate too, both knobs simultaneously
working on PowerSDR

without conflicts of operation.
When Tmate is not connected to the PC, its commands are not displayed
in FXpad obviously
For full information about FXpad, please refer to its manual included
in this ZIP file.

PowerSDR and FlexControl are a Trade Mark of FlexRadio Systems.

Thanks to Vittorio IK4IRO for his code.

Was working last week on RTTY, but went to it today and did not see anything
on the waterfall display. Panadapter still working perfectly.

I tried adjusting the thresholds in the DISPLAY tab, but nothing seemed to
change. Is it time for a database reset?

Re: [Flexradio] help

2011-09-04 Thread Jerry Flanders

Your radio is probably OK.

Somewhere between PSDR V 1.18.6 and PSDR V 2.0.16 somebody broke the
code, I think. Read up on the bug I reported back in January (
http://support.flexradio.com/ReviewBug.aspx?id=3403&it=B ). AFAIK, it
has not been fixed yet.

If you use V 1.18.6, you will probably be OK.
