[Flexradio] Multiple PowerSDR Sessions
I’m running PowerSDR 2.7.2 on a Windows 7 Professional OS platform. I have both a Flex-5000A and a Flex-1500. Since the 2.7.2 upgrade, I’ve noticed an issue when attempting to run multiple PowerSDR sessions (one for each radio). - Upon starting the first PowerSDR session, both radios are available for selection from the chooser. If I first choose the Flex-1500 then start a second PowerSDR session, the chooser provides the option to select the Flex-5000. This is expected behavior. - Upon starting the first PowerSDR session, if I first choose the Flex-5000 then start a second PowerSDR session, the chooser does NOT provide the option to select the Flex-1500. This is unexpected behavior. The 2.7.2 upgrade otherwise went as expected and I have no other problems or issues with the software/firmware release. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Is there a solution? 73, -Dave WD8KRV ___ FlexRadio Systems Mailing List FlexRadio@flex-radio.biz http://mail.flex-radio.biz/mailman/listinfo/flexradio_flex-radio.biz Archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/flexradio%40flex-radio.biz/ Knowledge Base: http://kc.flexradio.com/ Homepage: http://www.flexradio.com/
Re: [Flexradio] Multiple PowerSDR Sessions
Thanks, Ray. I clearly missed that somewhere down the line. 73, Dave WD8KRV -Original Message- From: Ray, K9DUR Sent: Saturday, January 04, 2014 11:44 AM To: 'Dave Burnett' ; 'FlexRadio' Subject: RE: [Flexradio] Multiple PowerSDR Sessions Dave, That is not a problem -- it is working as expected. This has been true since shortly after the FLEX-1500 was introduced. Flex has always stated that to run 2 instances of PowerSDR, you must start the 1500 first. 73, Ray, K9DUR http://k9dur.info ___ FlexRadio Systems Mailing List FlexRadio@flex-radio.biz http://mail.flex-radio.biz/mailman/listinfo/flexradio_flex-radio.biz Archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/flexradio%40flex-radio.biz/ Knowledge Base: http://kc.flexradio.com/ Homepage: http://www.flexradio.com/

Re: [Flexradio] Slow Main Window Command Response in PSDR
Looks like I've solved the problem on my end. I noticed that the response time reverted to "normal" speed when I had Fldigi open and connected via VAC with CAT Control active. Thinking that I needed to turn CAT Control off (and that there may be a bug in the CAT Control that didn't exist in 2.3.5) when I was not using Fldigi, I opened Setup/CAT Control and found the "Allow Kenwood AI Command" box was erroneously checked. I have unchecked this box and found that response time is now as expected with standalone PSDR 2.4.4, and with Fldigi or JT65-HF open. If you are still seeing the slow response time, I recommend you start by checking your CAT Control setup. 73, -Dave WD8KRV -Original Message- From: Richard Langford KD8LCD Sent: Sunday, September 09, 2012 4:49 PM To: wd8...@arrl.net ; w4yxu@gmail.com Cc: flexradio@flex-radio.biz Subject: RE: [Flexradio] Slow Main Window Command Response in PSDR Curious what version of operating system are you running? Once it is on there are mirrored or ghosted images displayed on the pan-adapter. These ghost images last for approximately a minute plus then go away, after which it seems to operate correctly. With exception to the lag when sometimes clicking on a menu button. System here AMD FX 8150 8 core Also tried an FX 6120 6 core and AMD Phenom 3.3 all produced the same outcome. Also put together a test system using a different brand of mother board, also swapped out fire-wire controller cards as well all produced the same end result. [Flexradio] Slow Main Window Command Response in PSDR 2.4.4
All, Yesterday I installed 2.4.4 on my Win7 Pro 64 bit machine (i7 960 3.7 GHz, 12 GB RAM). I’m noticing that the response time to a command for any control on the main display, by either keyboard (e.g. entering a frequency from the keyboard) or mouse (e.g. tuning with mouse wheel or point-and-click on any control) has slowed significantly. CPU load is only running 3%-5% with a few peaks at 10% and 33% of RAM is used. The response time is a very noticeable change from 2.3.5. Has anyone else seen an issue like this with 2.4.4? If so, have you found a solution and what is it? What am I missing? 73, -Dave WD8KRV ___ FlexRadio Systems Mailing List FlexRadio@flex-radio.biz http://mail.flex-radio.biz/mailman/listinfo/flexradio_flex-radio.biz Archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/flexradio%40flex-radio.biz/ Knowledge Base: http://kc.flexradio.com/ Homepage: http://www.flexradio.com/
[Flexradio] HPE-580t and IPMTB-TK Motherboard
Does anyone on the list have experience using a computer with the Acer-Pegatron IPMTB-TK motherboard (it is the stock motherboard in the HP Pavillion Elite HPE-580t desktop, among others. HP calls it the Truckee motherboard)? I'm considering it while shopping for a new computer, with particular emphasis on running PowerSDR. There have been issues in the past with the IPMTB-TK motherboard, and I don't yet know the 1394 chipset used for Firewire. Any input is appreciated. 73, - Dave WD8KRV ___ FlexRadio Systems Mailing List FlexRadio@flex-radio.biz http://mail.flex-radio.biz/mailman/listinfo/flexradio_flex-radio.biz Archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/flexradio%40flex-radio.biz/ Knowledge Base: http://kc.flexradio.com/ Homepage: http://www.flexradio.com/
Re: [Flexradio] VAC PTT
There is a workaround I've used with MixW and PowerSDR v1.18.0. Create a second set of null-modem com ports and configure the "Secondary PTT Port" to use that com port pair. -Dave - Original Message - From: "Tim Ellison" To: "Burt" Cc: Sent: Thursday, June 04, 2009 4:18 AM Subject: Re: [Flexradio] VAC PTT If you are using PowerSDR v1.18.0, there is a bug that prevents CAT TX command form working correctly.
