Re: [Flexradio] Receive only antenna port or TR switch for Flex 3000?

2012-12-25 Thread David Garnier

I see my questions wasn't wasn't specific enough, my fault.

1) The 3k has only 1 antenna port.
2) I would like my 3K to /transmit on 1 antenna and receive on another
antenna/,
this implies an external T/R switch, RF sensed or something driven
off FlexWire port...
3) What solutions are people using? The DX Engineering RTR-1 Receive
Antenna Interface or?

Thanks & Merry Christmas to all,

Dave Garnier - wb9own

Has anything been developed to run off the rear panel

The DX Engineering RTR-1 Receive Antenna Interface
box looks to be an RF sensing T/R switch solution.

[Flexradio] Any 3K or 5K Flex owners in Milwaukee area?

2012-10-13 Thread David Garnier

Hi,

I am having a weird problem with my 3K that recently popped up.

Each time that PTT line is energized the 3K begins to /move up//
//frequency in 100Hz increments/! If I key the radio from the front
panel CW jack or from the drop down CW keyboard panel
_no problem is seen_. This problem occurs at the lowest power
setting and into a 50 ohm dummy load. I am thinking I have
a H/W problem here.

Is there someone in the metro Milwaukee area that wouldn't
mind - if I bring over my 3K, fire-fire cable & dummy load and
operate my radio from your PC??? By doing this simple test
I can quickly rule out PC environment problem on my end.

Please contact me off list. dgarn...@wi.rr.com

Thanks,

[Flexradio] Vista can't find SDR fire wire driver during install

2012-06-28 Thread David Garnier

Hi,

I just bought a new PC with Vista Business 32 bit with SP-2 installed on it.
_Note_. I am new to Vista and I think I have administrator privileges!

At this point (of my lovely adventure into the O/S called Vista,) the
fire wire 400 card is already installed, device mangler reports that
TI's IEEE 1394 driver is alreadly installed and there's no conflicts.

Problem. During the installation of Power SDR 2.3.5 package,
the install process cannot find Flex's Fire Wire driver on the CD.
OK, what is the name of this driver and where can it be found?

Couple weeks ago XP found Flex's Fire Wire driver on the CD,
so what gives?

Thanks guys.

Any ATI based video card is my first choice. The anything with an
NVIDIA GPU would be next. The ATIs seem to have better drivers (less
DPC latency)
