HRD Logbook actually doesn't need HRD Utilities these days, it has its own
in built facilities for upload and download from LOTW direct.

Actually, there's an addon to HRD's logbook, called HRD Utilities which
automates the LOTW process, both uploading and downloading. After every
major session, I just click the icon and it looks at the log, finds all the
Qs which have not yet been uploaded, does the encryption/signing, and
uploads to LOTW. All I have to do is type in my LOTW password. Another
button downloads all confirmations received since the last time, and updates
the log entries to indicate that a LOTW QSL was received so that the award
tracking screens are correct. I've been using this for a few years now. I
use MiniDeluxe with HRDLog and DM780. If you do PTT by COM port RTS, it
doesn't have the problems of PTT via CAT. I especially like the HRDLog
feature where you select a bunch of Qs, hit LookupGoogleEarth, and it plots
those QSOs on the Earth globe. Works very well.

HRD doesn't do contesting well, so for that I use N1MM and export contest
logs in ADIF, then upload them into HRDLog (and from there they get to
LOTW).

Re: [Flexradio] Fwd: Voice keyer through PSDR truncates end of audio on output, progressive worsening

2011-07-05 Thread Laurie
Hi Mack,
Have been using the new system for a while now.
I jumped for joy when I found I could record on the fly within N1MM.
Using Line 1 2 of VAC, not computer input for Mic.
The beginning of the recording is the only issue I have had, can't seem to
get it quite right so I tidy that up with Audacity.
I also found that I had to reduce the tx gain on the VAC tab.
Otherwise it is great and works just the same as traditional type rigs.
Thanks

I thought I would add a bit to the equation. I don't operate many SSB
contests (mainly CW) but I have pretty considerable experience with the N1MM
audio interface. I wrote the Flex KB article (needs updating) and was one of
the beta testers for the new N1MM audio interface.

The new N1MM audio interface allows two SEPARATE sound sources to be chosen.
I have it set up with my computer soundcard for microphone input and VAC for
output. All sample rates and delays are left at their PowerSDR/N1MM
defaults. This feature is new to N1MM in the past month or so. Therefore
when I want to record a voice macro I use the N1MM editor with CTRL-SHIFT-Fx
where Fx is the function key to record and CTRL-SHIFT-Fx to stop recording.
Then all sounds play back perfectly within N1MM without delay or truncation.
I could never get things to work correct when using Windows Audio or
Audacity to record the sounds.

Give this a try and see if it works for you.

I'll try to get the KB article updated in the next couple of weeks.

Mack

Just checked it again. It sends signals whether the amp is on or off, I can

I don't remember this prior to V 2 and to be honest I had forgotten about it

I have several beta test positive results so I am now ready to take
orders for the daughter board for the UCB.
This will take FlexWire instructions from the 5000, 3000 or 1500,
although I have not had it tested on a 3000.
Currently PowerSDR only sends instructions out the FlexWire port for
bands that are identified in the XVTRs form.
Data values are identified in the UCB form where the FlexWire output is
selected.
This interface board is a fully constructed and tested surface mount
board consisting of a DB9 FlexWire connector and short cable to the
small board which plugs into the UCB.
The board uses the same I2C chip, the PCA9555, that is used internally
in the Flex products.
The output of the chip then is routed through a header set of pins to
the existing UCB. The user needs to install a supplied header on the UCB.
I have been using this interface along with the PowerSDR code for over a
year now (along with a handful of others) and it has been working
without a hitch.
My station has automatic switching all the way from 160 meters through
24GHz. VHF and above selects the appropriate transverter via the
interface and UCB.
The low bands are switched using band data from N1MM using DDUTIL to
share logging and DXLAB.
Completed FlexWire interface boards will sell for 25 dollars shipped in
the lower 48, elsewhere plus additional shipping.
I will accept Paypal at this email.
For those who have emailed me waiting, I will now go back and respond to
your request, in case I miss someone, please feel free to send another
request.
I do plan on bringing several to Dayton.
Thanks for all those who have been waiting.

Dear Customers,

On February 18th, we posted the PowerSDR v2.0.19 RC1 Release Candidate.
Please see the definition of a Release Candidate is provide below for
reference.

We have received overwhelmingly positive feedback from so many customers who
were pleased with the new CW keyer and the ease of upgrade. Given that
there have been over 6,400 downloads to date, the number of reported bugs
are minimal. We have already fixed a number of the more important ones and
have two remaining known issues that we plan to fix before going to a
general availability (GA) release.

The two remaining issues we are working are as follows:

   1. Some, but not all FLEX-5000 customers are experiencing random and
intermittent TR or tuning receiver drop out. This is a firmware control
timing problem that I previously reported on the reflectors. This
problem
does not exist in the 1.18.6 official release and appears to be timing
related on some specific PC/FLEX-5000 combinations. This problem is
being
actively worked by the engineering team.
   2. We have identified a potential cause of ALC overshoot in the DSP
software and are working on a solution. This is mainly an issue for
customers running legal limit amplifiers that require drive levels below
full power (e.g. 50W or so) of the radio.

We will keep you informed when we have resolved these remaining issues.

Best 73s,
Gerald

The term *release candidate* (*RC*) refers to a version with potential to be
a final product, ready to release unless fatal
bugshttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Computer_bug emerge.
In this stage of product stabilization, all product features have been
designed, coded and tested through one or more beta cycles with no known
showstopper-class bug.

Apple Inc. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apple_Inc. uses the term golden
master http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Golden_master for its release
candidates, and the final golden master is used as the general availability
release. Other Greek letters, such as *gamma*and *delta*, are sometimes used
to indicate versions that are substantially complete, but still undergoing
testing, with *omega* or *zenith* used to indicate final testing versions
that are believed to be relatively bug-free, ready for production.

A release is called *code complete* when the development team agrees that no
entirely new source code will be added to this release. There may still be
source code changes to fix defects. There may still be changes to
documentation and data files, and to the code for test cases or utilities.
New code may be added in a future release.

Subject: [Flexradio] FLEX-5000 160m CW spur ECO

Dear FLEX-5000 customers,

There has been some discussion today about an ECO that addresses a potential
spur issue on 160m CW on the FLEX-5000. We have developed a hardware
modification to the 160m transmit filter section in response to a half dozen
customer reports of a spur 2.4 kHz above the CW transmit frequency.

This is only an issue if the station is running legal limit power CW on
160m with very large antenna arrays. In the legal limit case the CW spur
would still be only on the order of 6 mW (we have measured approximately -53
to -57 dBc), which might be heard by other similar big gun stations with
quiet antennas. On 160m SSB or AM it is really a non issue.

For new production radios starting around December 2010 with Rev Q or higher
HTRX boards, the modification is installed on all new radios. We only
install this ECO into existing radios upon specific request because in our
opinion it affects so very few people.

If you fit this operating criteria, we are happy to install the ECO. The
deal is that you pay for shipping both ways and we will do the mod. Contact
support at supp...@flexradio.com or 512-535-4713 x210 to request an RMA.
Please DO NOT send your radio without an RMA. Please note that turn around
could be up to three weeks for the ECO.

Gerald

Dear FlexRadio customers:

FlexRadio is pleased to announce the availability of PowerSDR v2.0.19
Release Candidate 1 (RC1) for public download from our website. This
version incorporates a totally new CW keying architecture that was written
from the ground up to achieve minimum jitter and latency using both internal
and external keyers. To say this is a rewrite is a bit of an
understatement. We got out Farnsworth and started from dit. Everything
is right now in PARIS.

We have also done significant work since the v2.0.16 beta release to improve
installation and overall out of box experience on all radios. We have
optimized the USB driver for the FLEX-1500 to perform well on a wide range
of PC platforms. We have also incorporated a new FireWire driver with less
CPU overhead on Windows 7 systems. The number of little and not so little
bug fixes are too numerous to mention here. Check out the change log and
release notes. A note about release notes, PLEASE READ the them to get the
most from your FlexRadio.

We are very excited about v2.0.19 RC1 as we enter the final steps toward the
PowerSDR v2.0.x Official Release. We thank you for your patience and
support while we have been preparing this important release. We request you
report any bugs found in this release to the bug tracker at
http://support.flexradio.com/BugList.aspx?it=b. Be sure to note 2.0.19 RC1
in the Software Product Version field as we will be focusing our attention
on those specific reports.

We would like to say a special thanks to our beta team for their tireless
support in testing a number of interim releases to get here.

We are taking the weekend off but 2.1 starts on Monday. In the software
world it is never finished.

[Flexradio] remote switching

2011-01-22 Thread Laurie
Hi all,

Seeing Neals post reminded me of something.

Someone asked me how do people turn the rig on and off when using remote.

I am curious as well as to how everyone is achieving this?

Tnx

Re: [Flexradio] Plasma TV RF noise

2011-01-05 Thread Laurie
Gary,
If you find a solution please let me know.
There are two of us down here in Tasmania that have the same tv with the
same issue.
I even had Pioneer try to replace the tv with another, that didn't work.
We paid six thousand dollars for our particular model and it has never been
used...seven years it has sat there.
Good luck.

Re: [Flexradio] Comparing Flex to K3 for contesting

2010-11-14 Thread Laurie
Tnx for the post Jack, an informative read.

I also have been using Flex for contesting (the 500A) as a single op for
some time and find it to be a very capable contest radio once you learn the
idiosyncrasies of setting it up with all the external software/hardware.

One thing I will add is that from my perspective the focus issue was a real
burden, that is until I got a hold of Beppes T-mate. Having it sit alongside
the keyboard is just great. This allows me to use the VFO, RIT etc without
losing focus of the logging software. I realise some will say it is
sacrilege to have an external VFO but when you are logging a few thousand
q's a weekend you need the least amount of distraction possible and in
normal everyday operation I do not use it.

In comparison I also run a FTDX5000 with a pan adapter and this is a great
combination but in a contesting situation I find that the pan adapter is not
used all that much as I do not do much SP and like you mentioned, most of
the work is done on the logging programme. If you SP then it is IMHO
streets in front of the K3 panadapter and as for the Flex panadapter, there
is no equal.

I definitely agree that in the future most stations will have a PC
panadapter of some description (Flex is way ahead in this department).
Surprised me that the new Kenwood does not have IF out.

The next step for me is to have a complete separate computer setup for each
radio as swapping radios and reconfiguring all the software every time I
change rigs is a real PIA.

Meanwhile I will continue to enjoy both styles of radio.

Thanks Flex for the latest software update. I recently upgraded to 2.0.16
from the stable release and found it is a big improvement. Tried 2.0.8 and
for some reason or another my system didn't like it so I reverted back to
the stable release but this latest version works a treat and I don't know
whether it is my imagination or not but everything seems to run smoother.

I look forward for what's to come in the future.

Regards

Laurie VK7ZE

PS In the real world, Flex filtering is still the best there is.

Very interesting post. I wonder how the Flex compares against the
almighty
 Elecraft K3.

I've been contesting with the Flex-3000 for 18 months now, and like it a
lot. I haven't used a K3 in any contest, but the K3 certainly seems to
be the standard for serious contesters. Most of the contest stations
seem to use a K3, often 2 or 3 of them, as well as more as spares. If
you look at the posts on the 3830 contesting list, there's lots of
discussions of stations and how people use them in contests. I've
thought about getting a K3 for contesting - but I'm not a serious
contester at this point, and maybe will never be one.

Here's what I've learnedIMHO of course.

In contesting, the Flex doesn't compete against the K3. You have to
look at the whole station as it is used in contests. A serious contest
station might have several K3s, many antennas and amps, switching gear,
rotor controllers etc., and a software complement as well - Writelog or
N1MM, Internet spotting support, and maybe even a CW Skimmer. A
Flex-based contest station would have a similar complement of
components. Even a simple contest station has several pieces of
hardware and software. The comparison has to be between the total
stations, not just between one of the components.

The Flex panadapter is very cool - but contesters are now adding the
Elecraft panadapter to provide similar functions. I's not nearly as
good as the PowerSDR display, but I wouldn't be surprised at all to see
a PC-based add-on K3 display that enables the use of standard widescreen
LCD displays through the same K3 interface. The comments from
contesters after they first use a K3 panadapter indicate that such a
display will become standard for contest stations. Once you have
experienced being able to see the contest, you can't survive blind
mode anymore.

In contesting, the primary station interface today is the computer, just
like with the Flex. But the software that provides the user interface
is the logger, e.g., N1MM or Writelog. These contest-optimized
programs are highly tuned to contesting, and do far more than just
logging. During contests, there's little need to actually use the
knobs and buttons on the radio - i.e., either the K3 front panel or the
PowerSDR screen. Everything is done through the logger.

Many stations use multiple radios - SO2R or Single-Op-2-Radios, which
are operated simultaneously in a highly coordinated fashion. Multi-op
stations often have several such stations, all interconnected by a LAN,
and coordinated by the software

Hi All,

I'm continuing to work on the N2NY remote control site with the Flex5000.

What does the collective wisdom recommend as the best HF amplifier to pair
with the Flex5000 for the remote site.

I'm thinking that an amp that self senses frequency and does not require an
outboard band decoder would simplify the remote situation. I'm thinking
no-tune solid state RF deck.

Thank you in advance!

I'm planning the purchase of a 5000A.

I'm also going to purchase a new computer--probably a Core i7 machine with a

I'm used to having a logging program running (DXLab Suite), and some

Can you run a 5000A with these other things going on at the same time?

What is your experience in this regard?

[Flexradio] Not going mad - already gone

2010-05-13 Thread Laurie
Once before I had issues of everytime I change mode on PowerSDR to CW it
would key up.

Well, it is happening again and it only seems to happen when I have either
Tmate or CWskimmer connected.

I have reformatted computer, reinstalled all programmes, tried different
ports, tried different VSP programmes etc.

I am tearing hair out and ready to give it all away and go back to my Yaesu,
I don't wish to but months of frustration is taking it's toll.

My current setup is as follows.

Flex5000A

Windows XP pro with all latest updates

PowerSDR v1.18.6

Firewire 3.5.0.7171

VSPE

Com 22 connector

Com 22 = com 2 Splitter

Com2 8 connector

Com 28 = com 8 Splitter

Com 7 = com 17 Pair

PowerSDR CAT Com28

PowerSDR PTT com17

Control programmes

HRD, DXLabs,N1MM, CWSkimmer, Tmate COM 8

PTT programmes COM 7

COM 3,4,5,6 Keyspan usb serial adapter that has never given any trouble

CW keyer from N1MM and other sotware on Com 5

All at same connection speed 38,400

All work fine until I start either Tmate or skimmer, untick PTT com port on
PowerSDR and all goes away but we know that's not gonna work, obviously
there is a conflict somewhere and I cannot find it so I am looking for any
help to point me in the right direction.

Thanks

Re: [Flexradio] How to configure DDUtil and the BobSMeter - KB article

2010-05-10 Thread Laurie
There seems to be lots of suggestions for the BobSmeter.
How about the Tmate thru DDUtil?
I went through the whole process of changing to DDUtil and VSPManager and
DXLabs only to find that I could not get Tmate to run and DXlabs was not to
my liking, HRD and DDUtil don't have a great love affair, what a frustrating
experience!
Have ditched the whole lot again and reverted to previous set up and it now
runs real well.
Now I am back to running VSPE with PowerSDR, HDR, DM780, Skimmer, Tmate,
Bobsmeter and N1MM all at the same time with no slow downs, hangs, latency
or whatever you like to call it, still use the internet, email and every
other programme I want - a happy marriage again after a week of turmoil.
So I guess it boils down to preference and what works for the individual.
I know my setup would not suit everyone but at least I've stopped tearing my
hair out - for now!
Cheers

I think that Tim was on the right track with the polling rate. I suspect
that it is because the S-meter ap is probably polling as fast as the program
will let it. I am going to guess that you are running VSP manager. Try
turning on Strict Baudrate Emulation and set it to something slow, like
4800B. See if that helps. That will force Bob's S-Meter to slow down its
polling rate because VSPm will delay the query and the response.

[Flexradio] cw skimmer and second receiver

2010-04-17 Thread Laurie
I am running Flex 5000A with second receiver and PowerSDR v1.18.5

Has anyone tried to set up skimmer to run on the second receiver?

If so, were you successful in getting a fully operational configuration?

What I am trying to do, is operate say 20mt SSB on the main A and have the
second receiver with skimmer populate the band maps in N1MM on 40mt -
example only.

I have not been successful in this department so I tried the reverse
situation, connect skimmer to main A which is of no problem at all, and
change my SSB operating(TX) to VFO B. When I do it this way with TX on VFO
B for some reason or another I end up with a jerky and erratic frequency
change on second receiver (this is the same whether I have other software
connected or not), I obviously have a conflict somewhere or the system just
doesn't like it full stop?

Any help appreciated.

Thanks

2010-04-15 Thread Laurie
Trying to get cwskimmer to work on second receiver only.

http://kc.flex-radio.com/KnowledgebaseArticle50379.aspx

Tried the above link and it refers to selecting option to use second
receiver.

That option is not on my PowerSDR v1.18.5.

Working great on main receiver, any suggestions on how to get cw skimmer
working on second receiver only?

Thanks

[Flexradio] virtual com port splitter

2010-04-12 Thread Laurie
I came across a programme that is a Virtual Serial Port Emulator.

In it, is the ability to create a com port splitter which enables up to 8
programmes to run off one singal virtual com port.

It works a treat as I tried it with HRD, DM780, N1MM, CWskimmer all running
at once and all having rig control.

Its downside is the fact that is what the name suggests, an emulator and
therefore having to start it every time the computer starts and then open
the saved file.

What I would like to know, is there a programme out there that the does the
same but you don't have to start it every time you start the computer, in
otherwords like VSP,com0com with built in splitter facilty?

Thanks

[Flexradio] Flex 5000A and WPX

2010-03-28 Thread Laurie
Hello,

Just a short note whilst it is still fresh in my mind(what's left of it).

I have just completed nearly 2000 qso's as a single op the WPX contest with
the Flex 5000A.

I run a small contest previously just to make sure I was familiar with
everything.

To be fair I did not use the second receiver this time around as I had
enough to contend with without it, the point and shoot screen opened up a
whole new world for me.

The receiver I simply cannot fault, as the say - bloody terrific...

Transmit audio - bloody terrific.

The downside, always has to be something - the most annoying detail was when
I was running a pileup, logging one after the other at a rate 0f 250p/hr or
better you don't remember some of the minor details - log the contact,
someone comes up alongside creating a bit of noise, you grab the mouse and
hit a narrower filter button, back to the keyboard and start typing - OOPs
forgot to bring the mouse back and click on the logging programme again, the
radiois taken off into the never never land because what you thought you
typed into the logger was actually telling the radio to do something. This
little detail is the same of course whether it's the filter, vox button,
noise blanker or whatever.

Now there is probably actually nothing at all that can be done about it and
people will say you just have to be more careful. That's fine to say but I
don't contest 7 days a week, so it is not second nature and it is one more
step that takes time in a busy environment.

Don't get me wrong either, I am not having a whinge.

Maybe there is someone real smart out there that can fix it - as the
control of the radio is software, one idea was to possibly have a contest
mode where the radio is only in the background until you actually physically
do an adjustment and then it reverts to the background automatically. I know
that sounds back the front to what you would normally want - but in this
case as opposed to normal operationI want the logger to be the main focus.

I hope someone understands what I am saying and may have a suggestion or
two..

All in all the radio performed flawlessly and gets the thumbs up. It's a
keeper.

Tnx

PS Neal, if you wish to arrange a sked on PSK one day, I would be happy to
try on the long path with that sort of power. Have had SSB qso's with quite
a few stations running 50W from indoor/attic antenna on the East coast of
USA. Also have used 3 watts to Europe long path on SSB, 18,750 miles.

[Flexradio] digital modes

2010-03-15 Thread Laurie
Whilst we are on digital subjects maybe someone can shed some light on
something for me.

Not being a large user of digital modes I am stumped.

I am using HRD DM780, PowerSDR 1.18.5 with all latest updates on Win XP
Pro.

When using say psk or rtty etc everything works fine if I use usb/lsb and
not DIGU/DIGL.

When using the DIG modes on PowerSDR I have a terribly wait before it
actually sends after keying and after it finishes sending a long wait before
it returns to receive,. Obviously I have something set wrong and any
suggestions to point me in the right direction would be appreciated.

Tnx

Re: [Flexradio] VAC with N1MM?

2010-03-05 Thread Laurie
Mack,

I found that by using the computer soundcard as you would if you had a
traditional rig hooked up that it works fine as long as you have the VAC and
the VOX activated on PowerSDR at the same time.
NO hardwiring needed.
The only downside by using this method is that if you wish to use VOX
normally then you have to remember to turn off VAC first.
Have been using this method all week and it is working fine.

Cheers

I'm trying to get ready for the ARRL SSB DX contest this weekend.

Has anyone figured out how to use the voice keyer in N1MM via VAC to the
Flex 5000A? I do very much appreciate Ray, K9DUR's, voice keyer and I know
he developed it to fill this gap in N1MM but I'd like to run the native
voice keyer in N1MM if possible.

Otherwise, I suppose it would be a hard wired audio cable to the Flex.

Thank you in advance for your settings if you have figured this out.

To all Flexers,

FlexRadio Systems has released PowerSDR v1.18.4 and it is available for
immediate download and use. This is a maintenance software release of
PowerSDR 1.18.x and contains several critical bug fixes. It is
recommended that you upgrade to PowerSDR v1.18.4 at your earliest
convenience.

You can download the PowerSDR v1.18.4 installation software using this
URL: http://support.flex-radio.com/Downloads.aspx?id=312

It is recommended that you review the PowerSDR release notes prior to
installing a new version of PowerSDR to make sure you have the proper
versions of .NET, firmware and FLEX Firewire driver recommended for the
release. In addition, a list of bug fixes included in the v1.18.4
release are listed in the release notes.

The v1.18.4 release notes can be accessed from the Knowledge Center
using this URL: http://kc.flex-radio.com/KnowledgebaseArticle50444.aspx

Remember, it is always a best practice to allow PowerSDR to create a
brand new database with each new release. You can transfer specific
user configuration information into your new database from an existing
one using the K9DUR PowerSDR Data Transfer Utility
(http://kc.flex-radio.com/KnowledgebaseArticle50327.aspx).

Re: [Flexradio] FW: HRD and delays.

2009-12-29 Thread Laurie
Jose,
I am sorry but I beg to differ.
DM780 will run quite ok as standalone without the logbook, it needs HRD to
read frequencies and have radio control that’s all.
Logbook will also run as stand alone without HRD as long as you don't wish
to have frequency readout/input and rig control.
Myself and others I know have done this many times, in fact at times I
intentionally run DM780 as standalone because then I have less latency
problems, no automatic qrz lookup etc.

HRD and Logbook must be used together. HRD is the interface between
PowerSDR and the logbook. Otherwise, you'll miss some data like
frequency and mode. In a similar vein, DM780 needs the logbook. Simon
calls the software « HRD Suite ».

You may reduce HRD to the taskbar.

In HRD there is the documented delay on PTT if controlled via HRD and CAT.
Therefore, I simply use a second pair of Vcom ports for PTT in
DM780.There
is also delay on CAT commands when frequency is changed from DM780.

Here is a setup I have been trying for some time now. You can have al
facilities from DM780 without having to run HRD.

Use Commander from DXlab website for CAT.
Use DM780-DXL from DXlab website to make DM780 think it is connected to
HRD.

Take care ! In HRD LogbookRadio paneOptionsuncheck Automatically
connect

 to HRD.
Do this before running DM780 !

With this setup, no delay on PTT and very fast execution of CAT commands
from DM780. Even if you set PTT control to HRD in DM780. At least for my
SDR-1000 but I guess it would be OK for other FlexRadios.

Maybe other Flexers with 3k or 5k can try this and see if it works for
them.

Re: [Flexradio] More Flex in contesting

2009-12-08 Thread Laurie
To all,

I am watching this thread with very strong interest as SO2R was one of the
main reasons I recently purchased this radio.

From Flex website the FLEX-5000 fully software defined radio becomes a
true SO2R solution in a single radio enclosure.

Info on N1MM configurations has also been of interest.

For some reason or another cannot get K9DUR to install correctly so VAC in
N1MM would be a godsend.

Thanks everyone for all the interesting information.

Mark,

This is not very elegant but maybe use the PWR speaker output and
VAC.. RX1 to VAC, pan the RX1 to one side maybe left and RX2 panned
to the right and use the PWR speaker out to the computer sound card and
have the other instance of N1MM pointed to the sound card instead of
VAC. Maybe this will help until maybe Eric can figure another way in SW.

It's what I get for thinking..

Great group.

Two steps forward, one step back. I am surprised that the second RX is not
that well integrated into the overall design. I guess not much demand for
SO2R so far.

Something I was thinking about SO2R during the last RTTY contest. If I
understand the N1MM program correctly you also need two instances of MMTTY
running. How does one connect one instance to RX1 and the other to RX2? I
am speaking of the RX audio from each RX. If there is a way I have been
unable to cipher it out. If I were using two separate external
demodulators
then I could use the stereo output and split the two RXs apart. How would
you do this with VAC? Unless I'm missing something here the only way to
use
both RXs would be to have at least one demodulator that connects via wired
cables to the RX2 audio output.

It's what I get for thinking..

[Flexradio] N1MM

2009-11-12 Thread Laurie
I have everything working ok with the Flex5000 except for the DVK on N1MM.

HRD, DM780 digital modes all ok, N1MM tracking freq ok (not sure if I did it
the correct way but it works), cw on N1MM works ok.

Just can't get my head around the voice keyer part.

If anyone has some settings I can go by it certainly would be appreciated.

Thanks

Laurie/vk7ze
