[Flexradio] FlexRadio Manual
Jon/George, As Neal said he is always glad to have volunteers to help with the WIKI. As for the manual, all the updates have errata lists and it should be an fairly easy task to take these lists and incorporate them in the manual and the WIKI. A good community project would be to make a list of all the errata and then ask for help in incorporating them into the current manual. I f one of you take the organization and management of this project I would be glad to help with one or two of the errata lists. Breaking it up would get other volunteers and you could coordinate and collate all the responses into a update? Go for it, Duane N6DMR Reply to: 1. Owners Manual (N1naz) 5. Re: [Flexradio] FlexRadio Manual
Would it be helpful to organize and create a sort of FlexRadio "Table of Contents" for categories, topics, errata, references, etc. and then providing "links" to already written articles and updates? "Links" to Knowledge Base articles, WIKI, as well as the current Flex manual topics, etc. could maybe then be accessed without having to incorporate a huge body of information into one document. It might be something that could be easily updated as new information becomes available? Just a thought. The effort being considered is timely. Re: [Flexradio] FlexRadio Manual
I've had my F3K for just over a year. I found the existing documentation and Knowledge Base articles good enough. Many things have been improved to work better over the years but very little has been added so the documentation, while old, is still valid. When I had a specific question I asked it here on the reflector and very quickly got good answers. Someone posted a query a short while ago looking for a used F3K. It's the best radio I've ever had in 61 years of hamming so I wouldn't part with mine for anything less the the price of a 6700 :-) It's not nearly as bad as people are making it sound! 73, Rich - W3ZJ Jon Hall wrote: I must be missing something here.
