Re: [Flexradio] setting up computer for longer run time

2015-01-04 Thread Dave

Hi Dale,

Two things to check.

First, in Control Panel, go to power options (under hardware and sound)
and change it from balanced to high performance. There is a pull down
arrow to the right of balanced if you don't see the high performance option.

Second, in Device Manager (right click Computer, properties, device
manager) and under Universal Serial Bus controllers, right click each
hub and go to properties. Under Power Management tab deselect "Allow the
computer to turn off this device to save power".

That should fix it.

need one. Any suggestions would be gratefully accepted.

Hi Dale!

Disable all "power saving" options.

Look for check boxes saying something like "turn off this device when not in
use to save energy". That "feature" is useful for laptops not connected to
anything and running on battery power for long periods, but for a desktop PC
that feature is nothing but trouble.

For how to information on Windows-7 Power Management just Google "windows 7
power saving settings".
