1311-3180) bundled with the factory-installed RX2 (second receiver) and ATU
(auto tuning unit) from FlexRadio Systems on May 22, 2011. It is in mint
condition and is still covered by the remainder of the manufacturer’s
warranty (expires May 2013). I am also including the FlexControl Knob
(purchased 12/17/12).

DESKTOP PC FOR SALE:

Also selling the companion, desktop personal computer (PC) for $950 plus
shipping. It measures 19.69”H x 8.27”W x 15.16”L. Some of its

Radeon HD 6770 video card, 4GB memory, 320GB hard drive, DVD burner,
Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium (32 bit), and Firewire card with multiple
ports (totally compatible with Flex 5000A). It too is in mint condition. On
January 5, 2012, I purchased this PC from Abroham Neal (
www.abrohamnealsoftware.com). Neal Campbell (K3NC) custom built it and
optimized it for the Flex 5000A. It is also still covered by the remainder
of the vendor’s warranty (expires January 2015). Note: Monitor, keyboard
mouse are NOT included.

check. I can ship via United Parcel Service (UPS) to anywhere in CONUS (the
continental United States), or you can arrange with me for a pick-up within
50 miles of my QTH (Wadsworth, OH 44281).

2012-08-21 Thread Gerald Capodieci
The 6000 is coming soon.
Many see it as a major 'game changer' or at least, a the next RF
communication revolution. I'll be happy to buy a 5000 when I'm ready.
I'd be happy if Flex will broker/test a 5000 secondary market (for a
well earned fee of course).

Many of the flex owners tend to like new technology so in my opinion you are
just seeing those that like the bleeding edge. I would not read too much
into it given the nature of the beast. The 3000 and 5000 are great radios,
however technology marches on.

I have no idea what you are talking about.
What I do get that I did not get with the 1500 was a big easy to read display,
I do not need a separate power supply, I can work CW with the 1500 the delay
really messed up sending, I do not need a computer or earphones, I get QSK and
apparently I can hook it up to a computer. It also copies PSk, RTTY and CW
right on the screen.
I do like the 5000 and Flex is an amazing company.

Ah, okay, no prob. Since the KX3 has I-Q out, you can get the familiar PSDR
panadapter and SDR controls etc by feeding the I-Q into the appropriate
version of PSDR, available for example at
http://www.telepostinc.com/NaP3.html
You may need just a cable, or you may need an outboard sound card,
depending on the capabilities of your onboard sound module.

Ah, okay, no prob. Since the KX3 has I-Q out, you can get the familiar PSDR
panadapter and SDR controls etc by feeding the I-Q into the appropriate version
of PSDR, available for example at http://www.telepostinc.com/NaP3.html
You may need just a cable, or you may need an outboard sound card, depending on
the capabilities of your onboard sound module.
Just a thought,
